Eubank has 24 World Title fights ( very similar to Lewis' and Calzaghe's) and is a former long time MW and SMW undefeated champ, plus he is ultra-eccentric and has charisma - if he is a not legend in the Western World, then others like James Toney and Virgil Hill cannot be remembered in the same sense.
joe's got a point. Hopkins is the one saying he's beaten all the great fighters, but its De La Hoyas fame and Trinidads fame which is the only thing that seperates their resumes, and those guys peaked at lower weight divisions. Tarver is good not great, Winky was a 154 fighter who moved to 160 but was asked to go to 170 to fight bernard. Calzaghe is the first great fighter who bernard has faced, that is his own size.
