What is it that you want? A scorecard? I had it to Joe by a single point.

Id rather breakdown a half decent fight as opposed to one that bored the **** out of me but in a nutshell..... close fight, could have gone the other way, I felt the right man edged it. The end.

    Joe won, barely.

He hardly hit bhop with anything meaningful but his punches were EFFECTIVE in tiring him out, making him defensive, limiting his output, forcing the pace etc. Even though they weren't CLEAN. Bhop however scored the far far CLEANER punches, but aside from the KD they didn't hinder Calzaghe so they weren't very EFFECTIVE.

Because of this I feel they both did equally on the clean/effective punching aspect. Therefore on the rest of the criteria, Joe was more aggressive and controlled the fight (ring generalship), whereas hopkins clearly beat Joe in defense. Therefore its 2-1 Joe in these aspects.

I don't remember my exact scoring but I felt it was very close up until the end. Joe took it by a round or two. Very close. Horrible fight to watch and i have no interest in watching it again for closer analysis. Judges only watch it once to score, we should do the same.

    if you looking for a scorecard here's mine;
    H-C
    10-8
    10-9
    10-9
    10-9
    9-10
    10-10
    10-9
    9-10
    9-10
    10-9
    9-10
    9-10
    6-5-1 b-hop 115-113
for me a fight of two halves with hopkins in control 1-4 and for me 5-8 were swing rounds which could dictate how you scored the fight which is why you get disparity in scorecards. It's all subjective

I think that's the best analysis I've seen so far! Well surmized.

Hopkins get's the moral victory though cause Joe fought like a flailing ****** while Hopkins threw 4 punches a round, scored a KD and still got a split decision.

i watched it 18 times now and i still say the judges got it right i had it 7 rounds to calzaghe as his workrate just out hussled bhop who resortted to 1 clean punch a round which isn't enough at this level. We need to reward the agressor and joe controlled bhop and would of landed more if bhop didn't have the "breather" in round 10 as after that he got his breath and got a second wind to go into the later rounds.
