I'd say Hopkins has earned it. Joe should give it to him.

Calzaghe fought Mario Veit twice. I guess this is a new policy.

No question. Calzaghe KNOWS he would lose. Period.

The fight was very close and merits a rematch. Nobody's asking for "a bunch of rematches", just one.

The WBO forced that fight on Calzaghe from what I remember. Veit was a mandatory and Joe didn't want to lose his belt so he went through with the formality of going to Germany and gave Veit a sound drubbing.

That being said, I think Hopkins definitely deserves a rematch but I can understand Joe's decision not to give it to him.

I'm leaning towards that as well. Theres no reason why Hopkins doesn't deserve one. With a split decision victory its hard to claim absolute superiority over a fighter, especially after a tedious affair like that one.

Why he very clearly beat him once.
He stopped Hopkins from doing what he wanted to do...what he was able to do against Pavlik.

You bunch of ****ers would only find another excuse if Calzaghe gave him a drubbing.

    ****ing Saddo's

wow people on this forum really need to get a grip, how would calzaghe know bhop beats him?let's be real pavlik is good but is a million miles from being great and with the styles of fighters he never really stood a chance against bhop and i've said it all along!joe became more and more comfortable as the fight with bhop went on,why would he be worried about fighting him again, the man wants to retire at 37 years of age, give the ****ing dud a break, he's coming of the back of a seriously outstanding past 3 years with one last huge fight coming up, let him do his **** and stop complaining that bhop deserves a rematch when he really doesnt, bhop shamed himself in the fight with his playacting and why the hell would the public want to see it again, all they do is smother eachothers work, allowing no free flowing action that is seriously ugly to watch, can we not just agree that both are true legends of the sport and that calzaghe won a tight but sound decision, but i guess we won't because there are too many hating wankers on these ****ing boards!

**** YOU ESB, THE POSTERS ON HERE ARE IGNORANT ****S WHO CARE NOT ABOUT TALKING ABOUT THE SPORT BUT RATHER GLAMORISE THEIR OWN FAVORITE FIGHTERS WHILE DEGRADING THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF EVERY OTHER FIGHTER AROUND!
talk boxing or dont talk at all wankstains!

It's unfortunate that he doesn't do rematches. Hopkins tends to be good at them.
