JC's legacy consists entirely of fights with a 43 year old senior citizen and an injured one-armed Dane in his hometown.

Oh, and he remained unbeaten for a decade reign of fighting 100% grade F tomato cans.

Bravo Joe, sail away into the sunset. :happy

Nah Joe said it, he said it before his fight with Jones...Funny thing about you Calzaghe fans, you put everything in Warrens lap, its really ashame...

I think that is horse****. When Joe moved to 175 many people were mentioning Chad and only the (admittedly big) Pavlik fanbase was clamoring for Pav to move up 2 weight divisions to face Joe.

When Joe took on Jones he skipped the 2 fighters that people raved about wanting to see him fight, at the time (Chad and Kelly). And apparently the Jones fight did **** numbers too, so excuses about it being a 'bigger money fight' don't sit well with anyone.

I can see JC coming back in 2010 if Dawson beats both Tarver and Hopkins. He will only be 38.

    JC is smarter than that.

There's no fights out there for him, and im not too impressed with Dawson. Haye-Calzaghe at Cruiserweight would have been interesting.

Jones v Calzaghe did substantially better PPV numbers than Hopkins v Pavlik and made Calzaghe $10 million. Dawson v Tarver attracted so few fans it could have been held in my shed. Of course it was a bigger money fight.

He isnt American,so can never be acknowledged as a top drawer fighter by them on here.
If it was put totally in the hands of American fight fans and media to decide,Europeans would never get title shots anyway.

Any idea on the money HBO was willing to throw at Joe for a Calzaghe Dawson match this summer?

I'll give you a hint, he'd take home more than what his fight with Jones made.
