Is it me or has he aged VERY badly since he has retired? He looked a shadow of his previous self. Shame really and theres surely no-way that he would, or could, come back now.
he's earned his money, laid his well being on the line so by the looks of it he's just living it up and letting himself go.
I've not bought it regulary in ages but years ago you could quite often pick it up on a Thursday evening.
Got my copy this morning in the post. Definitely a good move to Thursdays. Havent read the Calzaghe article yet...
I disagree about it being a good move moving it to Thursday as I can't personally see what difference it makes. That said, Tris Dixon asked readers for their opinions and, obviously, that's what most said would work.
:good I got one today - I don't usually but if you miss it on a Friday and the main fights on Sky are (or have been) on a Friday you're not going to buy Saturday are you. This way BN gets two days of previews and two days for people to buy as shelf life isn't good for a weekly as nothing happens after Sunday morning in boxing.
Isn't Boxing News that Boxing paper, I haven't bought it for a few years and I was just wondering how much is it??
Is there a nice hatchet job article in this weeks issue like that piece of **** biased crap about Dempsey from last week?
This is the main reason. Plus sometimes I would get my copy on a Saturday - so Thursday builds in a better safety net in case it is delayed by a day. *Don't think Calzaghe looks to have aged much too be honest.
Age catches up with everyone differently I suppose. He basically didn't look to have aged at all during 97-06 so maybe it's catching up with him now.
