You guys read about this alread? Joe says he hit BHop low in the second round intentionaly, retaliation for the knockdown of the first round. ok... And says that thats why he knows the low shot in the tenth was crap cuz it was not intentional and it was a light shot that hit. The hard one landed in the second and didn't seem to bother BHop all too much. Just shows Calzaghe is a dirty fighter, so is Hopkins, he just wont admit it. What you think
A punch to the seeds wouldn't be as bad as a forehead to the eyelid. One big cut, fights over. Hopkins is always diving in dome first for the sole intent of making a cut. Joe's just more forthcoming about his dirty tactics.
He was in with a guy who gets in headbutts and shots to the hip on every clinch. Joe would have been a fool not to retaliate, and he did a pretty decent job mugging Bernard when he got the chance. This doesn't "change my opinion" of him in the least. It's just more proof he adapted well to a very rugged, ugly fight.
