I know Ali is past it, but Jones Jr beat a HW, Ali's name is at least as good as Ruiz's, even past it a little bit.

Still a dangerous fight though, HW KO power and Ali's remaining speed.

Too dangerous for Fwank Warren to make this fight unless he made Ali sign a contract that signs over all of Ali's royalties to Sports Network as well as Layla Ali's remaining career (another defence of the WBO for Joe?). Even then, Calfaggi would pull out because he was too chicken ****.

Calzaghe is taking on the best next like he did when he fought Lacy, there is no way in hell anyone would say Calzaghe should've fought someone else, his next fight is what almost everyone wanted him to go for.

How does taking two big names in the past couple years negate not fighting any top competition in their primes for the 5 years before that?

If Calzaghe wins and keeps his level of competition high, then he has the chance for his career path to be eerily similar to that of Hopkins...
