First he cries about how bhop is ducking him now he says that the offer that GBP offered him is not reasonable.
Calzaghe has to know he is not the draw here in the U.S Bhop is and Bhop deserves the bigger cut.
If he wants Bhop so bad he needs to suck it up and take the fight if not he needs to stop running his mouth like a little girl.

First they claimed that BHop turned them down now they admit they turned the offer down, who wants it more?

I'm sorry but in this isntance I can not side w/Hopkins !!

Considering how he ducked Jones for so long ..This is a bit of Karma ..But the good thing is that I think they will come to an agreement its only a matter of time ..If I was Joe I would feel the same way !!

calzaghe says he wants 2 more fights.

i think money is his driving factor of his next opponent

3 weeks ago on esb we were told calzaghe has been offered $16 million

2 weeks ago we are told that has been cut to $8 million

now we are told the offer is actually $3 to $4 million.

the fight can still be made , but you have to remember odlh/hopkins want total control of the fight and sole promotion rights with warren cut out.

so what is the estimated gross pot in america for a calzaghe v hopkins fight ?and is $3 to $4 million flat fee a fair percentage for calzaghe.

if the fight grosses $10 million then IMO it is.

Im not going to say Calzaghe is ducking Hopkins because I dont think thats the case, but if he really cares about his legacy he should take the pay cut and just fight Hopkins. Hopkins dont need Calzaghe on his resume, he could probably go and fight the winner of Jones/Tito and make just as much money and avenge his loss to Jones if he ends up winning.

what would your reaction be if say warren were to offer hopkins the same deal to fight in the uk and add another $3 million on top for hopkins as well.

    fair or a poor offer.?

if tito were to somehow win, which i dont see happening unless jones falls apart again, would a hopkins v tito rematch be wanted in the states given what happened first time around?

jones fight makes sense but the 2 of them negotiated for months and months and the fight still fell through before.

Your right I dont see the Tito fight doing that well in the states, though it would still wouldnt be too far off of what he would make if he fought Calzaghe in the states. If Jones knocks out Tito, Jones/Hopkins would be huge and well worth it for Hopkins to take and its a fight he could win IMO. GBP will market that fight to the hills, it would be the biggest pay day for either fighter.

Calzaghe does not want to get whooped by a man approching his mid 40's, but then again who would.

    Spot on.

When he's said he's only got two fights left , why is he going to accept Hopkins treating him like he's some two-bit punk? :deal

Is Calzaghe really staying true to his word about fighting only 2 or 3 times? It sounds ridicoulous since he still seems to be fighting at a high level. I think he still at least has 2 years left in him before his skills diminish because of age.

I disagree put that fight in the Garden and its an instant sell out ..There are plenty of Europeans in NY that would just to support Joe and the plenty of die hard boxing fans that would come to see both men as well..And you think Hopkins is not that good your a the minority !

Calzaghe is certainly not full of **** because he wants a career high purse for fighting a man a win over whom wouldn't mean very much at all in terms of his legacy. To make this fight worth it, he has to get almost as much money as he would get in fighting Woods - otherwise, what's the point? It's not like Hopkins is Dawson!
