That's absolute bollocks mate. Calslappy ducked the first encounter then also ducked the 2nd encounter claiming either his back or his divorce was giving him problems. Even Frank Warren was considering walking away from his cash cow Calzaghe at this point, it's well documented. Johnson walked away after the 2nd cancellation stating that Calslappy flat out didn't want to fight him. I know who I believe...Glen Johnson has never ducked ANYONE his entire career, whereas Calslappy isn't exactly blemish free on that front.
come on Slice i got to disagree. joe is quite the puncher when his hands are good. just ask mitchell who had never been ko'd untill joe clocked him. joe hands are fine this fight and it will be lights out for jones.
The fact that a fight didn't happen does not mean a fighter was ducked. Lewis never fought Byrd. Roy never fought Darius. Duran never fought Pryor. And so on.... Glen would have had little chance against Calzaghe. Glen rounded off a string of four losses with a loss to Sheika, who was stopped by Calzaghe in his very next outing. The main reason Glen got notice eventually was his KO of a shot Roy Jones.
I agree, actually. He was out cold before he even hi the ground, from a very mediocre looking right hand. I can see Joe KOing Roy next week, though it's not the likeliest of scenarios.
Calslappy?? Fighting Weight: ''Thompson could punch, ask iron chinned Chris Eubank'' Your words twinkle toes. So by your logic: Thompson + Eubank + no knockdowns = Thompson very hard puncher Calzaghe + Eubank + 2 knockdowns = Calzaghe very weak puncher Or maybe this is the better equation: Fighting Weight + hate + gay gene - brain = ******ed homosexual chimp who posts utter wank every time he logs in. So, if big-punching Carl Thompson couldn't knock-down ''iron-chinned'' Chris Eubank, yet the supposedly light-hitting ''Calslappy'' could, then surely you're contradicting yourself by implying that Calzaghe can't punch? After all, a man with an iron chin doesn't go down from a slap, does he? :deal
No, Joe will not KO Raoy. He should be happy if he can win. First time in his carreer he may not have a speed advantage.
