What fighter on Joe's resume compares to Roy Jones?

Who on his resume beats RJJ now? ... NO 1 ... and don't give that guy Kessler too much credit because he's not all that good.

Yeah it was supposed to be his HBO debut ... and he pulled out and chose to defend his title against Sakio Bika.

Fitz, I have to agree with him here. Jones is not back to his old days at Light Heavy. BUT, he still does have what it takes to outpoint JC even at this stage of his career.

Chris Eubank wouuld have beat RJJ in the early 90's when Roy was up and coming and this is something Roy has gone on the record and stated!

He said it was a hand injury but his hand looked fine against Sakio Bika ... I'm telling you this guy has been protected all of his career ... he hasn't even fought more than 5 current/former world champions.

    Eubanks
    Mitchell
    Lacy
    Kessler
    Hopkins

The rest are just stiffs ... he even had to nerve to fight an active super welterweight in Evans Ashira and hurt his hand against that guy.

His fragile hands added to his lack of legit threats on his resume is going to equal his demise against Jones.

I don't care what you say about Jones' chin ... Calzaghe isn't a power puncher and those girl windmill flurries is going to add to him get caught by a flush right hand.

Jones isn't going to fade in the late rounds like Hopkins did.

The same Chris Eubank that fought Calzaghe would not have lasted 7 rounds against Roy.

sure, in Eubanks prime and when Roy was still green, MAYBE! That proves nothing

then you won't mind linking the thread where you heard this will you?

considering that eubank never cracked it in the US either i find this hard to believe.

Reid, Brewer and Woodhall were also former world champs that Calzaghe beat.

Joe is going to lose to Jones plain and simple ... I don't care what you guys say about Jones ... his age, chin, whatever ... this guy at 39 is more skilled and more experienced than Calzaghe would ever be.

Calzaghe is 36 yrs old as well ... there's only a 3 yr difference ...

How does Evans Ashira compare to Roy Jones Jr?
