Uhh no son ... Tarver didn't look like himself ... he fought 100x better when he fought Clinton Woods ... he looked sharp, faster, and stronger ... also his balance was alot better.

His balance looked poor against Hopkins ...

Bernard was not in his prime then, plus the fight was closely contested. You also fail to add the Jones made it impossible for a rematch to be signed , the reason being he didnt think he could win, then he was a fraud.
He was a fraud also by ducking genuine challengers like Benn McClellan Darius M etcwhile facing hand picked SAFE opponents

I feel that the Trinidad fight may have been a turning point for Roy, I know that Tito was the samller fighter, however, if Jones would have fought him the exactly the same way that he did against Hanshaw he would have lost.

He was 28 with 23 fights,Roy was 23 with just 21;hardly a wealth of experience either.
How long did Hops need? Its not Roy's fault the thug was in the slammer instead of having an amateur career.
I know its a troll thread but Roy would always have beaten him.

Your on crack. In fact based the last fight these two had. I would have to go with Jones. He looked better vs Tito, than JC did vs BH. Jones would have killed JC at 68 6-7 years ago.

He never ducked McCellan. If the G-man didnt get hurt and beat Benn they were set to fight next. And the other two? Why should the P4P king at the time want to travel to Europe to fight these guys? He had nothing to prove...

Well, given I've made some of the longer-lasting threads in all of ESB (even if it means shameless bumping my own threads), this one ain't dying until long after Calzaghe slaps the **** out of Jones.

So you may as well enjoy it!

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

So you're comparing Jones' performance against TRINIDAD (who had no business being anywhere NEAR the same ring as Jones) with Calzaghe's performance against a top 3 P4P'er?!?!?!?!

And you have the audacity to say that I AM THE ONE ON CRACK!!

Sure he would have! And he would have killed everyone else that he avoided, too, only, he didn't!

    ;)

    That's the ****ing spirit!

    :hh

(Incidentally, you seem a lot more in-tune with the program than many of the Calzaghe fans I infuriated pre-Hopkins bout! :rofl:rofl:rofl:good )
