He's absolutely right. Accomplished so much more than most, and seems happy with it. Full of good memories, never lost, and quit at exactly the right time.

Joe Calzaghe is one of boxings good stories.

He's still better than just about every prime Jones, Jr. opponent.

I think I can explain. He's trying to say that Allan Green is one hell of a fighter.

Really, name the guys who were heads and shoulders above Calzaghe? Which security guards, postmen or garbage men he was fighting were better than Joe? You know so much about the guy. Tell me something I don't know. Please.

    1)this thread isn't about jones

2)no one claimed he fought anyone head and shoulders above calzaghe. that was your bizarre comment and now your argument

3)you tell us the security guard, postman and garbage man he fought. since there were so many you can surely name them right? btw: rick frazier was a cop (and a mando) so he doesn't count

If Roy jones didn't fight Richard frazier, then all this nonsense about Jones fighting garbage men, mexican dust sweepers every match etc...wouldn't exist. Rick was a mandatory like jorodz said. It's ridiculous.

  12. i really hope he doesnt comeback even though id love to see ward destroy him but it will only be excuses like oo hes old now or hes past his prime he was rusty let calslappy stay where he is sniffing coke in his villa the barbados

and Tony Thornton didn't have a job at the post office? really? and blown up roid-head, aged, wrecked Vinnie Pazienza was a real threat for the super middle crown? really? and Eric Lucas didn't lose 2 out of 5 before getting his shot at the belt? A toothess Mike McCallum? Bryant "Who the Hell did I Beat?" Brannon?

I'll give credit where credit is due... Toney, Johnson and Hopkins. But returns with these or Michalczewski were the best fights out there for a long time.

And don't blame me for putting Jones in this topic. Read the initial post.

:patsch does it really ****en matter? You can pick apart any fighters resume in the history of the sport. Everyone of them has fought bums throughout their career even when they were champions and at the top. Roy Jones gets the most ****, for some reason. When in fact his resume is in the Top 3 of the last 20 years.
