blah blah blah. . . . I aint no big Cal fan but he beat the guy who was clearly the best LHW today. You guys can pick knits for hours if you like, seems pointless to me. Cal is the best LHW today, cause he earned it in the ring.

But the ring magazine in most cases does recognise what is the lineal title. The 175 pound championship case mentioned here is one that is an exception. Thats why the Ring created its championships, to sort out the alpha mess.

Not buyin it. I haven't rated Hopkins the best LHW for a while.

Calzaghe may very well be and I would love to see him prove it by unifying the division or beating the other top LHW's out there.

 

Get your point, i personaly scord this fight for B-Hop though, im English, aint no bias here. But i thought he won it. Still though, i respect the decision, only because the fight was close though!

 

If we're gunna be puriists, we'de just have to deal with Erdi, even though he would be the champ, others would go down in history in higher esteem than him if they proved themselves great but Erdi ducked them.

Kinda like Ezzard Charles at 175 pounds.

Its mad, for years i was so happy that the Ring was strugglin' to sort out the title mess, and now i see that even that has its flaws!! Boxing always has, and allways will, have problems were fighters gettin' their deserved respect is concerned!!!!

Tarver was clearly the best LHW until Hops beat him.

I aint no Hops or Cal fan but damn, whats right is right. Tarver was the best, Hops beat him - making him the best - now Cal beat Hops - making him the best.

Some of you so called fans need to learn to give credit when its due.
