Exactly, many people considered Adamek the best LHW two years ago, many consider Dawson the best now, instead of BHop or Calzaghe.

Lacking a title hurts his standing in this division.

Charles was never champion but many consider him the greatest LHW of all times. All you need to know. :good

He rally is a lock imo for number 1 LHW ever, his resume at the weight, in a golden era for that division, and just how good he actualy he was aswell. Some guys have been so dominant at certain weights that it realy would be wrong to out some1 else above them ranking-wise. Robinson at 147 (some argue Armstrong but not imo), and Charles at 175. Spinks, Tunney, and certainly Moore, all come up short against Ezzard. One of the best ever p4p imo aswell. What a guy!!!

So if he had beat a crappy fighter that an alpha soup org deemed a #1 contender that would be better?!?!?

Fukc that backward nonsense, the less attention we pay to these crooked orgs the better.

Hops was the best LHW at the time, Cal beat him. Period.

Agreed but history will show that JC did not win a title.

Well, for one thing you can't automatically declare the next guy who wins the last belt the retired fighter held the linear champion because that would be like handing the sanctioning body a winning lottery ticket. You'd pretty much have to start from scratch again and wait for someone to unify at least 2 of the belts. Just think about the disarray the cruiserweight division was in for so many years. Belts exchanged hands more than diseases and there was no linear champ until WBA champ Mormeck beat WBC champ Braithewaite. You just gotta wait for a champion to beat another champion and that should do it. You have an actual lineage again.

I thought you meant they are both not 2 weight champs because of the fact that Zsolt Erdi is the LINEAL CHAMP at 175, did you not?? Some1 explains the full thing on this thread, think its page 1!

I meant that Hopkins hasn't won a title at 175 and neither has Calzaghe
