Exactly. I'm a Hopkins fan but I would never say he was a champion at light heavy.

and the ABC's have that flaw in spades - mis-mandatories and about a dozen other flaws . . .compared to ring mag's minimal flaws.

I had Tarver beating RJJ in all three fights . . .as well as beating Glen in both fights. Even if we go by the official cards which is reasonable . .. Tarver beat RJJ in the two most recent fights with him, beat Glen in the most recent fight with him. So while you could make an argument at the time for Glenn, Tarver had two wins over RJJ compared to Glens one and he was the first to KO him, arguably softening RJJ up for Glen. Add to that Hops has a stop of Glen, I dont see the argument against Tarver and Hops being the best LHW's, respectively . . .and now Cal.

minimal compared to the ABC's, yes.

My point is not that RIng Mag is perfect, its not.

My point is that its much better than the ABC's, any reasonable person with common sense can see that much.

He CLEARLY lost that first fight...CLEARLY.Just because he had success against Roy that we had never seen before doesnt mean he won.People had Tarver winning simply because they hadnt seen Roy that vulnerable. On a round for round basis Tarver clearly lost.

my bad, I suppose I am just so tired of hearing how he wasn't legit and now that he beat Hop people still want to find ways to degrade his accomplishments.

What you are doing is taking sides with the lesser of the evil's when all are ****.

Hopkins has to be the first ever Champion to never defend against guys in the rightful weight class.Hopkins vs Winky for the LHW Championship of the World was a JOKE.

I disagree. . . but for argument sake. He clearly knocked him the fukc out in the rematch and clearly beat him in the third . . .so at that point Tarver was clearly better than the previous best LHW.

Because boxing doesn't work at all like how you just said. You know this as well as I do.

I laid out a crystal clear argument as to why Tarver may or may not have been the best LHW when Hopkins beat him. You see it your way, I see it mine.

thats life buddy, life is often a choice of the lesser of two evils.

Unless you want to create your own personal ABC belt. . . lets call it the PCW belt - Polish Championship of the World. Then its always going to be the lesser of two evils. :good

I just figure as fight fans we can all agree on one thing and that is wanting to see the best fight the best.

definately agree with that, Hops facing Cal was that IMO.

Now when Cal faces RJJ, you would have a solid argument if you say he should be facing Dawson or Glen Johnson instead. I would agree with that.
