A video speaks more volumes than a quote from someone you cant see and I have shown you proof that Calzaghe called out Jones for a long period and dating right back to the early 00s.
Video proof. What cant you accept when there is video proof?
Calzaghe may not have wanted to fight Jones in his first year and a half as a world champ, like Bute didnt want to fight Calzaghe or Kessler, who knows, but what we do know from the dates I have produced with evidence, that Calzaghe was calling out Jones in the early 00s and that is irrefutable and backed with video evidence.
Not sure why 2 you mention the early 00s, because Calzaghe I have shown evidence that Calzaghe called out Jones in 2000.
Think you are trying to split hairs over an off the cuff remark, because I have shown you otherwise. Like I said before Calzaghe said in an interview he was around 34 when he fought Kessler when he was actually 35, its an off the cuff comment.
As said proof provided for 2000, so what cant you grasp?

Calzaghe wasnt bad but was getting dropped by oldies. Zaghes was a SMW, not a LHW. A bigger division wasnt his style anyway.

well yeah but Hearns was fearless, whereas Joe was the kinda guy who was shitting his pants at the prospect of getting beaten even once. In the bigger division he'd lose several fights! Theres a good reason he is nicknamed 'Cowardzaghe' in America.

gotta be honest, thats true. Froch and Hearns would just walk away if their manager tried to line up Rick Thornberry, Veit, two tv show fighters and two fortysomethings for him to defend against. But a guy like Calzaghe would be happy to fight them.

Well they might fight Veit, Veit was not a bad challenger despite the illplaced pre-Otkke German hype machine. But Froch and Hearns would KO the ***** first time, and move onto things better things than Thornberry, Pudwill andWill Mcintyre.
