Exactly! I don't know how anyone can defend him to be honest. I've got a ton of respect for him as a fighter, but not as a person. Regards, Loudon.
:good How can someone midway through a debate just decide to change the rules? From this point onwards all printed text is illegal
Off the top of my head: Liles: They shared the same division for 1.5 years, but he never made any effort to face him Reid II: Called for a rematch for years G.Johnson: Pulled out of the fight 3 times, them claimed he couldnt fight him in 06 because Johnson lost to Woods. Calzaghe fought plenty of guys coming off recent losses. Woods: Could of fought him in 06-07. Woods's promoter said he was willing to make a deal on the Calzaghe documentary Daruizs: Could of moved up after Brewer but didnt even consider moving up until Dariusz had lost to Gonzalez Pavlik: Disgraced himself and chose to fight washed up Jones instead. Dawson: could of fought him instead of shot Jones His M.O was to make a lot of money and retire undefeated. He said himself he didnt want tough fights
the same percentage assigned to you and Baileyboy, I would hazard a guess. funny coincidence, huh? but I havent got inclination to find out. fortunately, you do, so start diggin, boyo. man, when they fall, they fall hard.
I got the final compubox punchstats like this:- Zod: 52/63 bailey: 2/80673 Who want to disagree and get owned
I disagree bailey is like 2/80,673,891, 000,001 The guy keeps swinging but hitting nothing but air. I guess it helps when you have reality on your side:deal
Let's get some perspective here, it was too unreasonable to expect Roy to fight in Germany due to the notorious reputation for robberies, but Joe was a coward for not going there to fight Darius? Double standards?
True. I notice they all think Joe is a ATG and they all hate Jones. Joe was alright, but nowhere near as good as those guys like to make him out to be. He was basically on the same level as Reid
Thanks for taking the time to respond once again, another quality post. When you quote the 'crown jewels', do you actually have a monetary value? Or proof that Joe priced himself out? Or are you just taking an old quote and running with it? Joe was strong at 168, at 175 he would have had no idea how he'd be. Joe was at the bottom of the list? Below big names like Derrick Harmon and Glen Kelly? Before you state they were mandatorys, for a big fight, Roy could have easily paid these guys step aside money and tell them they'd get the winner. How do you know he wasn't serious? That sounds like an opinion more than a fact. How do you know he didn't bring any money to the table? Hopkins would have gotten a career high payday to fight Joe, so I have to disagree with that statement. Again that sounds like an opinion. If Roy would have fought Tarver instead, that's not Joe's fault if Roy didn't want to face him? The LHW division was weak anyway. This is easy to quantify by taking a guy like Glen Johnson, a world beater at 175, not even a top 10 contender at 168. You state that Roy didn't want to face Joe, so fair enough, that's not Joe's fault, but he wanted the fight. Ok I see what you're saying here, but Roy himself stated he was thinking about going back down to 168. It falls down to this, Roy didn't want to face Joe, but Joe wanted to face Roy. I'm not saying Roy ducked Joe at all, but that point there defeats the purpose of this thread. I haven't heard Joe call it a duck, but he states he wanted Roy and Roy wasn't interested, that's consistent with what we've been saying. If we look hard enough, I'm sure Roy's contradicted himself multiple, Floyd has, just about any fighter does. I'll finish this post later :good
