I didnt say Calzaghe didnt have to fight Liles, but did note Calzaghe beat the fighter who KOd Liles.
Do you call a SD a clear loss . You obviously didnt see the Mitchell/Ottke fight. I thought it could have gone either way. You claimed that Mitchell won and Mitchell said he had no excuses and didnt do enough, but many felt Mitchell had won. Only Calzaghe beat him clearly.
Anyway you note Liles was a champ for a year and a bit when Calzaghe had just won his title, yet forget how ludicrous that sounds when you defend Jones who was a world champ at the same time as Dariusz for how long . Or even the current Floyd/Pac situation.

It doesnt specify much at all there, though both Kessler and Hopkins were far bigger fights than little known Dawson then and Jones was also for good money. Dawson moved up and away rather than stay on course for becoming mandatory. Lets not let that escape your attention
