in all seriousness, i've never seen any of you win a debate with bailey. sometimes you fart snorklers gang up in 4's and 5's and you still get your gormless chops peppered with crisp counters from bailey, picking you off with consumate ease as though you are cheap extra's in a bruce lee fight scene.

Headgiver reads from the book of Bailey . . . they live in there own world touching themselves every times the thought of calslappy comes into there head (100x an hour).

I really do not care enough about him or the SMW division to engage in this discussion on a in depth basis. My time is to valuable to get into discussion with someone who clearly is not connected to reality.

I have to agree with HEADBANGER here, bailey cant be on ***** street, I mean when Calzaghe said:-

    "I don't want tough fights"

    http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Boxing:+I'm+lord+of+the+Welsh+rings+says+Calzaghe.-a060444934

Calzaghe meant, he didnt want to be punched in his face, as in being punched in your face makes the fight tougher. Who wants to be punched in their gormless face now? Aint no body that stupid, don't confuse the quote out of context, Calzaghe didnt want to be punched in his face doesnt mean he wanted tough fights.

    And when Calzaghe said:-

"I'm not chasing after Roy Jones."

    http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Boxing:+I'm+lord+of+the+Welsh+rings+says+Calzaghe.-a060444934

Calzaghe is a boxer, this aint the running track where he would "chase" RJJ. And even though Calzaghe did dry hump fighters in the ring, he wasnt a homo that would "chase" another man. Dont quote out of context, it is true, Calzaghe didnt chase RJJ.

    And when Calzaghe said:-

"I only want big-money fights," said Calzaghe, who defends his WBO title against Australian Rick Thornberry in Cardiff on Saturday.

    http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Boxing:+I'm+lord+of+the+Welsh+rings+says+Calzaghe.-a060444934

Who is denying Rick Thornberry not being a big money fight. Go and check Rick Thornberries boxrec. Rick Thornberry was some Austrailian regional title holder, that is Calzaghe only wanting big money fights right there.

Why wouldn't he want the crown jewels? Roy Jones wanted the crown jewels to fight John Ruiz, does that mean he didn't want the fight? I think 'the crown jewels' quote is taken out of context.

Who knows? But Jones confirmed Joe wanted to fight him for years.

So what's your point? Jones didn't make fights with plenty of opponents who wanted him, I'm sure people stood in the way, and that's what Jones is implying here. What is important though, is that he states Joe and him wanted to face each other for years.

Interesting that you provide a link to the 'No Average Joe' documentary, in that Frank ****** himself states that we made Jones offers that he turned down.

That's called promoting a fight. Joe stated Roy was relevant because he was trying to sell a fight. I wouldn't take it all too seriously, which it looks like you are.

What opportunity? If he faced Steve Collins? Who retired before Joe could face him?

Ahh I see, you pick and choose which quotes you believe based on your agenda?

I see you're also providing quotes from Frank ******, here's another one from Frank.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/ot.../Roy-Jones-throws-hat-into-Calzaghe-ring.html
There's another quote from Frank ****** for you

    so freaking bad.

now I really see why they call him failey.

Failey - 'black isnt a different colour from white, no, thats the wrong way round - its that white is the same colour as black!' (schooled you there!)

Failey -'World War 2 didnt come after World War 1! No - people just think that because its called World War 2. If you switch their names around then World War 2 definitely came before World War 1!'

What the **** kind of logic is this????

You are posting quotes from when Calzaghe and Roy were trying to hype the farce of a fight... Making it seem like it was years in the making, to sell more PPV's... Just as Joe changed his mind about Roy being shot...

The earlier evidence posted by Zod contradicts things both Roy and Joe said trying to make people buy into their fight.:deal

i think people are being a bit hard on joe, its not like he was the even partially unifed champ like Ward or Ottke, Joe only had the most insignificant world title, the wbo one, for almost his entire reign.

So theres nothing wrong with him fighting Veits, Manfredos and Thornberrys . Its only when you have unifications like Ward, that you are expected to raise your game, and Joe never hardly needed to do that at all because he ran away from SMW once he got more than the WBO world title.

So all in all, 20 defences? 21? He did a pretty good job for a smalltime title holder, I reckon.

    But-but-but . . . everyone recognizes the WBO today:|.

But-but-but . . . the SMW division is no longer a newbie division that nobody gives a **** about today:|

But-but-but . . . Joe fought "great WBO ranked Challengers" they only ever ranked the same dead guy 2 times:|

You are so biased it is unbelievable!!! You dismiss Roy as never being the LHW Champ, but yet praise Calzaghe for it...

Do you realize that Calzaghe won the very title Roy defended, by beating someone who beat the man who beat Roy?

Calzaghe's claim to greatness at LHW strings from Roy's claim to greatness...

You need to be careful when trashing Roy... Because arguably Joe's biggest accomplishment in his career was winning a title that Roy Jones held and defended numerous times.... :deal

How can anyone in their right mind, claim Calzaghe was the LHW champ, but say Roy Jones never was???

Even though Calzaghe won his LHW title through lineage Roy Jones built with many title defenses....

Bailey considers DM the LHW champ, and not Roy because he didn't win the lineal title... But also considers Calzaghe the LHW champ??

    What sense does that make?

Bailey loves to have his cake and eat it too.... but we all know it doesn't work like that.:-(

I said Jones never ducked them. They were both only interested in that fight when it became clear that Jones was on the slide.
