I have a feeling that Collins is somewhat underrated here, I know that Benn and Eubank were faded when he beat them, but if he was british I guess he would be ranked at the same level as them.

Collins beat Benn and Eubanks twice each. Maybe not soooo delusional?

eubank was faded but still had something left in the tank.

benn on the other hand was an absolute shell. the eubank wins deserve some credit but the benn wins are nothing but a pretty name on the CV. much like calzaghe-RJJ.

sorry mate i don't think so. i don't think thats got anything to do with it collins was very affectionatly thought of in england as well.
you just can't escape the fact that eubank was on the slide and benn was shot to **** by the time he got to them.
coming fifth in that list is no disgrace anyway, he's up against 4 very special fighters.

Irish fighters are generally regarded highly by Brit fans, in a sense they consider them British.

Collins admitted himself that Benn was a shell, though as pointed out his wins over Eubank deserve credit - more than he actually got, anyway.

Unlike some biased posters on here I think this would have been fight of the decade if they had fought a few years ago at 175 when both were at their peak.

Jones awesome physical attributes against Calzaghe's awkward southpaw style and amazing adaptability to change tactics mid-fight.

I can't split them really prime for prime.

Wasnt a better boxer than Eubank, but his wins should get more credit than they do.

Calzaghe would lose to a prime Roy Jones and clearly. I do not think it would be a blow out. But a younger Calzaghe at 175 as you say would be faster and hit much harder than he does now.

However, he was massivly more open for right hands than he is now, and is open to being counterpunched.

Roy Jones was one of thee best counterpunching fighters there has ever been, bar nobody. Particularly with the lead right hand.

Add this to the fact that Calzaghe is down on every attribute bar workrate and not that it would matter chin. Joe would be in for a long night.
