During a recent interview with the BBC, Joe Calzaghe called Bernard Hopkins a sore loser. Last week in Las Vegas, Hopkins complained that he was robbed of a win when dropping a split-decision to Joe Calzaghe, who was moving up from super middleweight to light heavyweight.

"He should get over it," Calzaghe said. "He should watch the tape and accept that he lost. "There were three American judges and he still lost. I don't need to find 100 excuses as I won. He's a sore loser. I won the fight. I was the aggressor. I landed more punches. End of story. I don't mind if I don't see the guy again. To be honest, I've never been a Bernard Hopkins fan and never will be."

Cazlaghe is now making plans for one final fight before retirement, slated for November with Roy Jones Jr. being the likely opponent. He praises Jones and calls him a legend, but says Hopkins is not.
"You ask me about Roy Jones Jr. and I'll say I like him and love his style. I've got a lot of respect for him and he is a legend but Hopkins isn't," Calzaghe said.

You rarely see this much trash being talked after a fight has happened. I'm starting to suspect the promotion for a rematch has already begun.

There's no love lost. All the bad feeling is usually gone when the final bell rings. I didn't even see them embrace after the final bell, though I am told they did.

I honestly see Jones style, even at his age, to give Calzaghe problems, especially later in the fight.

Jones still has significant speed, and although he has amounted to something of a one-punch-at-a-time counterpuncher, he still is knowledgable about defense. (Notice his peek-a-boo against Trinidad, who was better than people expected him to be).

I'd say this fight is tougher to call than most would assume.

    I think Joe's half-right, and half wrong...
Nard is a sore loser, but he's still an ATG legend

The pre-fight with Jones/JC will look alot like the Jones/Tito pre-fight promotions . With both fighters having alot of repsect for each other and just a little trash talking. but they wont need the bull**** Hopkins put out there - they'll let their names do the promoting.

I think Joe and Bernard actually dislike each other, I don't think it's a show or to promote anything. I think they really deep down hate each other.

Does anyone doubt that Calzaghe/RJJ will happen? I mean both sides seem to genuinely want to get it on. It's a huge fight so big money for both.

I also hope they do a 24/7. If they don't, i will be pissed.

I agree. Hopkins hit Calzaghe with his straight right all night long; I think Jones has a slightly more powerful and most definately more accurate right hand.

Expect Jones to upset the odds

In the post fight interview Slappy Joe said "I'm a legend killer." Now he says BHop is not a legend, so what legend did he beat? Peter Manfredo?

naa, there's been too much talk already by both parties so i think it will happen. I also think they need to do a 24/7.

I think that was in response to Larry Merchant calling Hopkins a legend, not Joe.
