Setanta Sports News, the rolling 24-hour sports news service, will broadcast a special episode of Steve Bunce’s Boxing Hour at 6:30pm on Thursday 18 September. For the first time ever Joe Calzaghe and Roy Jones Junior, two of the world’s greatest boxers, will appear side by side for an exclusive interview. Straight talking boxing pundit Steve Bunce will meet Calzaghe and Jones Junior for their first UK interview ahead of their clash for the light heavyweight Ring magazine title at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday 8th November. The fight will be shown exclusively live on Setanta Sports 1..

The show’s host Steve Bunce said:

“We’ve had eight years of talks, and eight years of fights falling through. It was a natural fight to make and it remains a natural fight to make.

“There’ll be Joe on one side and Roy on the other, and somewhere in the middle we’ll get a winner.

“They’re both great talkers and they’re both great fighters. And now Setanta brings them together. Round one - ding-ding!”

Calzaghe tried to compete in the talking stakes with Hopkins when they came face to face

    Embarassing really

Hopkins would win by KO in a verbal battle with Calzaghe every day of the week

The guy can't even put a coherent sentence together. He tries to put in big words, usually completely out of context. Overall, he sounds like your average Philly crack head.

Don't fool yourself when he tries to pass himself off as a philosopher.

Look how much stronger and more natural outspoken Hopkin is than Calzaghe

Calzaghe tried to compete - because of his ego in front of the reporters he didnt want to be seen as if Hopkins had verbally pissed all over him

but you can see Calzaghe is not a natural talker like Hopkins

Joe should let his dad do the talking. Joe should still do the fighting though.

so what joe isint a good a speaker than hopkins?that mean **** all in my book.hopkins shouts and is overpowering ,but that does not make articulate in my eyes.

when it comes to boxing personally i think it matters what they do in the ring.
