By the way what the hell this 24/7 will be about? Today's press conference was as calm, uneventful, silent as a press conference can be... did you feel anything in the air? I mean yeah, they are in the middle of the preparation and yeah they respect each other... but it's hard to imagine HBO can pull of a great show like the 2 previous 24/7 series...

So far only the Kotelnik-Salita fight seems to be confirmed. Which is a good, but not great fight.

Some serious undercard power is needed!

Put a Mexican and a Puerto Rican in the ring from any weight division and we'll have an undercard fight. :thumbsup

    Hopkins wants the Jones-Calzaghe winner:

"I would fight Roy (Jones), but I'd also go to England to fight Calzaghe. I'd fight either one of those guys, but fighting Roy would be huge, and that's the one that people would want to see."

Calzaghe rips Pavlik, rules out Hopkins rematch:

"I said all along Kelly Pavlik was overrated, overhyped and hadn't done anything in his career to a warrant a fight with me. This was evident Saturday night when Hopkins destroyed and exposed him for what he is. That is why I wasn't going to waste my time fighting him and went straight to a bout with Roy Jones who has proved himself time and time again that he is one of the greatest fighters in our era. I have been a champion for 11 years and I am only interested in fighting legends.

"They told me that the place was packed with Pavlik fans who either sat stunned or actually started cheering for Hopkins. My fans will have a great night at Madison Square Garden in New York as I will give them no reason to cheer for Roy Jones. I am sure it was a long trip back for all those people from Ohio. I tell my fans, don't worry, we will be partying on the plane ride home.

"Look at the landscape-I have beat everyman I have ever faced including younger fighters, stronger fighters and of course Bernard Hopkins. After fighting Hopkins, my biggest wish was to fight Roy Jones Jr. who also has a win over Hopkins. Hopkins showed Saturday night he is an amazing fighter but Roy and I both beat him. That says more than enough and come November 8, Roy and I have a chance to settle the score with the winner taking all the glory.

"Jones Jr will the last fight for me, definitely - that's it, me done. Screw Hopkins, I'm not fighting again for any amount of money, I've been doing this for too long. Hopkins beating Pavlik is great for me because people will stop banging on about me fighting Pavlik.....I can retire with a clear conscience knowing that I've beaten everyone who's worth beating."

Roy Jones: me vs. BHop is a no go!

"I don't care what people say, I'm not fighting him, They can ask all they want. I'm through with him."

Jones is mad because Hopkins didn't want to fight him back in 2001. So Roy refused the rematch in 2006.

"After that I told him we were through, I told him that I wasn't going to ever fight him. I don't see how it's ever going to work out.

(Vs. Pavlik) I thought he fought a brilliant fight. I wasn't surprised. Kelly Pavlik didn't have any experience. He hadn't fought anybody except Jermain Taylor. Kelly Pavlik didn't belong in the ring with someone with the kind of experience that Bernard Hopkins has."

Main thing is: Roy doesn't want BHop either!

    From Roy Jones Jr.:

"Even though I'm getting ready for a big fight against Calzaghe -- a fight I know I am going to win -- I took a little break from my training camp in California, Pa., to go to Atlantic City last weekend to check out the fight between Bernard Hopkins and Kelly Pavlik.

But I didn't take too much of a break. Before I left, I trained on Saturday morning. Then I flew an hour to Philly and drove another hour to Atlantic City. I train six days a week and Sunday is my rest day, so I didn't miss any training to go to the fight.

Roy Jones knew after a round of fighting that Bernard Hopkins, right, would dismantle Kelly Pavlik.
Going to the fight was a fun thing for me. I enjoyed being there. It made me even hungrier for my own fight. While I was there I had a chance to meet with some of the press guys before the fight and to talk them about the Calzaghe fight. I think they were surprised I was on time, but I enjoyed talking with those guys and I'm glad they're interested in my fight. I also had a chance to go on the pay-per-view broadcast and do an interview about the fight with Jim Lampley. I hope you're all watching on Sunday night when the first episode of "Calzaghe/Jones 24/7" comes on HBO (8:30 ET/PT).

But back to Hopkins and Pavlik. I knew Bernard was going to win. He already had Pavlik figured out when they signed for the fight. I thought Bernard fought a perfect fight. Kelly is a good young champion and an up-and-comer, but he doesn't have the experience at the next level like guys like me and Bernard and Calzaghe have. He only beat Jermain Taylor, another guy who is a good fighter, but green. Bernard took Kelly to school at the next level.

When they were talking about Pavlik fighting Calzaghe before they made the fight with Bernard, I told people Calzaghe would kill Pavlik because he didn't know enough. I thought Bernard would do the same thing. The only thing I worried about with Bernard was his age. He's 43, so the only thing I was worried about was would his legs hold up. But after the first round, I knew Kelly wasn't going to beat him. Bernard is just too smart for him. I was laughing because I knew what was going to happen. I was like, "Wow, this is great for Bernard. Kelly is making him look so good." I was sitting ringside with Ross Greenburg (president of HBO Sports) and I told him in the first round, "This fight is over. Kelly won't have a chance tonight." He looked at me and said, "Yeah, I can tell."

With that win, people want to see me and Bernard do it again after I beat Joe. I beat Bernard 15 years ago and I will do it again if we fight. I'd like that fight and if it makes sense and we come up with a good deal, for sure I will do it. People want to see if Bernard can get revenge. But first I need to take of Joe, which I will do."
