    Roy Jones:

"Fighting Joe makes you get up, because when you sleep at night, you dream about him punching. You lay down to bed you thinking 'oh goodness, I got to be doing something because he punching right now.

"When you wake up in the morning you say 'Oh gosh I'm already hours behind, he's probably been up for an hour already' so you got to get out of bed because you know he's somewhere punching. That's all he does is punch so you know he is somewhere punching. So you got to get up and go if you are going to keep up. You really have to get up at 4:00 am to keep ahead of him. So it's very difficult but hey it helps because it makes you get up off your behind. Days you don't want to get up, you get up because you know Joe is out there somewhere punching.

"You have to draw a mental picture of what you want to be on fight day. And everyday you should be doing something to draw closer to that picture. Today was an endurance day, a day that's going to be most critical in the fight because Joe is capable of doing a lot of things--you have to change your rhythm, change your pace because he throws so many punches. He isn't going to care whether you are tired or not. He isn't tripping off that, he hopes you are tired. He's still throwing 110 a round; he doesn't care what you do. You have to be able to change up and adjust to that.

"It seems like I have had five different careers. That has been my life. Take a knock out and get back up. I am stronger than I was before."

I really like to see and read that Roy is totally focused and absolutely dedicated to beat Joe Calzaghe.

He dreams about Joe's punching somewhere! :D That was pretty funny!

One of the most low-key 24/7s I have ever seen. I hope the fight is better!

IMO Ep3 was the best 24/7 episode yet. Floyd vs. DLH & Hatton were all Mayweather shows, the perfect HYPE for a fight that made hundreds of thousands of PPVs for HBO. Really funny moments like when Hatton showed his butt to the cameras and told Floyd he can kiss his ass. But this time the producers went deeper inside the background, which is the right direction IMO. Could've been more dramatic with trash talking, but I like the documentary part more, as for me, there's no need to hype up this (or any other) fight. 24/7 offers the behind the scene parts with a great presentation, quality work, therefore what we see is not something untrue (like Mayweather's one man show turning into a borefest in the DLH fight), but not-so-interesting, but real fighters in real preparation. Enzo is the man by the way, not being from the UK I've just realized (in Joe's last few fight actually) how funny and likable is his daddy and how great his story is. I liked the guitar part in Central Park, although it was probably staged. What wasn't staged was the tears in Roy's eyes after Obama won, you don't see Roy go that emotional so often, he's probably very inspired by the historic moment. Altogether this 3 episode 24/7 show was probably the most down-to-earth show therefore offered the best quality yet IMO. Maybe HBO will offer an internet stream replay of all 3 episodes, you should all watch if you're interested in documentaries.

By the way: HBO will broadcast the weigh-in live on it's site at 4PM ET, you don't want to miss it!

Very interesting comments from Roy from today's press conference.

"I fought Tito for free. I knew Tito was going to take a whupping and I knew Don was not going to give me my money. But I also knew, unless I beat Tito or someone with the caliber of a name of Tito, I wouldn't get to fight Joe. So I had to do that to get to where I had to go next. Sometimes, you have to do that to know when it's time to sacrifice and make that move.

I have to start shifting my hat toward promoting. So you have to start looking at it like it will benefit you as a promoter by doing all this stuff. Now, you're working for yourself, not somebody else. I got to get out and do the promotion. When you're dealing with the promoter you got to battle with him about something he's not giving you that you want and he wants you to go do all these things [to promote the fight] and I'm like, 'Nah.'

I enjoy what I'm doing again and when you get older you get smarter. Before, I wasn't enjoying it at all. You're dealing with a promoter or you're dealing with stuff that wasn't what you want or the way you want it. But now I got to enjoy it. At this point in my career, it's the best thing for it. And I'm having a good time now. Before I wasn't having a good time. But I made the proper changes, found the right people, and it makes it fun for me.

It ain't worth the battle no more. Now it's like you're at the end of your career, so you can let people know what you are thinking, let people know your frame of mind, where you are coming from. It ain't gonna hurt you. I don't want to hide no more.

I didn't let people see my face more often. After all, how can you deny people this. That's the only regret I got. It's really wrong that I didn't come out. I should be talking to you all every day. I should be telling you all what's on my mind every day. That's the only problem I had. It's not necessarily just the press, either. It's everybody. Anybody who wanted to look and see me smile, I should have been talking. I denied a lot of people a lot of smiles. I don't know why. I be forgetting.

I got caught up in this world. You can't get caught up in the world. You have to remember what your purpose was. And I got caught up in the world. And even when I fought Tarver and Johnson and then Tarver again, I was fighting them. But was I fighting them because I wanted to fight them? Nah. I just didn't have anything planned. I can't remember the last time I had something planned for my fans when I went inside a boxing ring, outside of boxing. I always had something planned. Not only did Roy beat this dude, he did this. He did that. Since John Ruiz, I haven't had that any more. I have to apologize to ya'll. I have been cheating all of us. Now my bag of tricks is back open. Now I have something back for ya'll. I have some making up to do."

Especially in the end he goes very emotional. Very interesting to see that Roy has changed, I mean when was the last time you heard him making an apology to the media? The fight is getting more and more interesting.

The closer the fight is getting, the more worried Ive become... I`ll stick with a Calzaghe pts win but I expect Jones to give him a good fight, maybe even a close fight. The stoppage wont shock me but will slightly suprise me.

Calzaghe outworks Jones Jr, exhausts him and stops him within 10 rounds.

calzaghe will get tagged...but he has a hell of a chin.....but he will only get tagged once or twice....his underrrated defense and fast, accurate though sometimes not hurtful offense will make this fight another (relatively) easy night at the office for joe c.

i predict a mid to late rounds stoppage for calzaghe with jones not floored but trapped helpless on the ropes after joe's workrate tires him out..

in truth, this fight is too late in both thier cvareers but i just feel joe has soo much more left than jones....but who knows...if..and its a big if...jones can turn back the clock....he may give calzaghe a torrid time for a while......

If its a "dull fight" then that means Jones was able to control Calzaghe's output...which also means Jones wins :good
