Based on Calzaghe's performances against Kessler and Hopkins Jones is the right fight for him to retire on. Pavlik, who Joe seems to have suddenly lost interest in, would leave him with brain damage.

US$ 15mil.? really? then this fight is set.

I just hope it happens a month before the aforementioned date, that way there is a bigger chance we might still see Calzaghe vs Pavlik.

November 15th, is that Thanksgiving date?

Well, it's gonna be PPV. Jones-Tito did 500.000 buys and at least Joe's name is familiar with the US fans for now. If it's PPV in the UK as well, there are plenty of millions to offer for Jones. Remember it's a fight to be held in Wales so it's gonna be all Warren.

I hope this fight will be for Joe's 168 titles.

    I've added a poll.

168 because that's what Roy said a few weeks ago.

What do you think of Roy's chances vs. Calzaghe after Andre Dirrell quite easily destoyed his recent opponent, Anthony Hanshaw?

I don't think one is tied to another...know what I mean Bone?

Roy took a lot of rounds off and chose to lounge on the ropes and wait for Hanshaw to come in with blind agression. Two different kinds of fights.

That saaaaid, I don't think Roy has much of a chance. Calzaghe will win in the workrate department and depending on how far down the rabbit hole RJJ has fallen, he MAY have the advantage in the speed and reflex department. RJJ def has more power...but is it enough to deter Calzaghe's attack?

Roy would have to pull some sort of amazing turn back the clock performance to beat Calzaghe and I don't think he's got it in him.

Before the Hopkins fight I wasn't sure Jones could hurt Calslappy...after seeing Calslappy get knocked down and rocked by Hopkins right hands I'm absolutely positive Jones can hurt the man. I'd be happier if the fight were at 175 but I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if Jones KO'd Calzaghe, who's so called granite chin has now been exposed :yep

Hopkins hurt Calzaghe twice...one was in the middle of round 1 for that KD (Calzaghe recovered) and the 2ndwas at the end of round...5 or so where the bell saved Joe. Outside of those instances, I can't think of a time where Calzaghe's chin looked shaky.

RJJ would have to CONSISTENTLY attack Joe with hard shots...something I don't think he's capable of against Joe.

Maybe, maybe not. Roy definately hits harder than Hopkins, and is faster than Hopkins. Before the Hopkins fight the Calslappy fans were all saying Jones would be an easy victory because Calzaghe can't be KO'd - I've always said prime Jones would have an easy time with Calslappy and KO him in the mid rounds. This version of Roy....well I'm more confident he can do it than I was before that Hopkins fight because lets face it Hopkins only lost that fight due to being unable to bring a decent workrate, the skill difference was there for all to see.

Prime Jones stops Calzaghe no question about it....what round it gets stopped would depend on the mood he's in.

That said this isn't prime Roy...and I don't think he's got enough in the tank to keep Calzaghe off his ass for 12 rounds.
