Bhop already did the brain damage giving Ole Joe Pavlik amnesia.

Umm, November 15th? Wales are playing Rugby Union test matches against Canada on the evening of the 14th November and against New Zealand on Saturday 22nd November.

Staging an indoor event like a concert or boxing match necesitates taking out the pitch from the stadium altogether. I doubt very much that the Welsh Rugby Union allows this to happen one week before a guaranteed full house against the All Blacks, even if it is feasible to have the arena ready 24 hours after another match, which I doubt.

I'm not sure about that, if it's at 175 I think he could, at 168 I doubt it. He may not need to keep him off for 12 rouuds though, that's my point. If Jones had Calzaghe on the hook like Hopkins did I doubt Calzaghe would be allowed to recover.

You don't have to tell me there's a difference in styles, I know that. However Hopkins caught Calzaghe on the way in a few times and hurt him often. Do you think Jones isn't as fast as Hopkins? Do you think Hopkins hits harder than Jones? The answer to both those questions is no, which as I say is why this is interesting because Jones has the tools to KO this guy - something most of us knew all along :yep

I wish they could make this fight earlier, September/October perhaps - November seem such a long time away.

I think Joe realized he was aging in that fight. The first I remember him calling Pavlik out was the day after Kelly won his title. 168 calling out 160. Ole Joe has mentioned him several times since. Until the Bhop fight. Suddenly he can't remember Kelly's name. What other unbeaten vs unbeaten is available for him? The OH's make it THE fight. If he suddenly wants no part of Pavlik then he has backed himself into a corner. Either fight him or end his career appearing to be ducking Pavlik after the repeated calls.

Pavlik can say he had to honor his rematch, do two mandatories and fight a unification bout, (plan A at the moment), before he could accept the challange. But we may get a surprise when Pavlik fights Lockett. I'm sure Ole Joe will be in tow for the bout.

Assuming both are still undefeated early next year. I think Ole Joe may really want to end his career with Pavlik. Hard to say though.

Man, this is all so typical of every Calzaghe thread I've read here for
literally years. Joe sucks, he'll get crushed by the young Tysonesque
Lacy, whatever!!! Joe gets slaughtered by the young, undefeated turk
Kessler, you know Joe is old and his hands are brittle, whatever!!!
Joe loses to the legend, streettough, prison hardened Hopkins, Joe
can't handle the challenge of a truely great American long-term
champion like Bernard, whatever!!! Joe will get beat by the faster and
stronger-puncher than Bernard, Roy Jones Jr. WHATEVER!!!

You've read this for years have you? Well I suggest you take your photographic memory back 6 or 7 years to when Calslappy was talking about fighting Jones and taking on the likes of Sheika, Pudwill, McIntyre etc. Jones gets a few horrible losses, Bernard gets old and all of a sudden Calzaghe makes the matches, when back in the day he chickened out of fighting Glen Johnson, more than once.

    You do the math.

Fights like this can't be judged. For all we know Dirrill could get knocked out in his next fight by Stevie Forbes. You get what I mean. I'm always noticing that some members jump on bandwagons quickly. Dirrill could go back on his bike the next time. Then what, he sucks because he reverted to being a track star again. Let's just concentrate on RJJ's next fight with Joe. All this talk started with Oscar and then when the fight was over some fans are now saying he is back.
