Is there anything that could be more irresfutably true than that statement? I personally don't believe so. Calzaghe is the bum of bums. I think the only thing that's more true is that a '94 Roy Jones would completely obliterate any version of the Bum Of Bums Calzaghe. Well Amir Khan is an atrocious glass jawed eurobum disgraceful human being. This is irrefutably 110% scriptured fact as well.
The bum Sakio Bika that Calzaghe fought gave Andre Ward one of the toughest fights of his career years after Calzaghe decisively beat him. The bum Mikkel Kessler, having eye problems, beat Carl Froch in a close fight years after Calzaghe decisively beat him as well as after being inactive. The old man Bernard Hopkins beat the crap out of Jean Pascal years after Calzaghe beat him in a close fight. You might hate Calzaghe, but the guys he beat are still world-level operators years after he retired at the age of 37. Besides, being beaten by a prime RJJ is not a slight at all. RJJ is probably one of the best fighters to ever lace the gloves in the last decade and would embarrass everyone active right now if he was prime.
Calzaghe was decent enough, but for a dominant champion his level of opposition was pretty dreadful. His work rate was his best asset, but he lacked genuine power and got decked quite a few times (good recovery abilities, though.) Kessler was probably his most worthy win. We'll never know how well Joe would have performed against real top quality opposition, however I doubt he would cut the mustard against any prime ATG you care to mention.
Thanks man. I love you, i really really do. I love you so much baby, come on baby let me suck yo dick baby boy. Yum yum drippin hot semen all over my face, ooooh so good. :thumbsup
The only HOF that JC fought was a 44 year old Hopkins. IMO JC was a good fighter, but never an ATG:-(
