Who do you think would win a Calzaghe Kessler rematch and why?

At 168 Kessler, Joe is getting too old to make that weight.

At 175 Joe, he's now comfortable at the weight, whereas it would be new ground for kessler.

I would love that fight in any weight, the first was close but next time Mikkel knows what to do!

    True.

Depends a lot where. Location and weight.

Joe has alluded to the same. However, Joe will always have that 'W' in his resume and noone can take it away from him. It was a great night for Joe in a fight where the young opponent showed he had the weapons to beat Joe, but where Joe won on smarts. That is what makes Joe dangerous to anyone in history. The way he overcame skill with smartness. It means that it will be hard to rule out Joe in any imaginary match-up.

kessler must first beat hopkins, or dawson to get a mention for a rematch.... dawson must first beat kessler or hopkins for a match and taylor has to beat any of them to be mentioned...... Since Hopkins is a racist and never gave credit to joe he will never get a rematch!

Yeah i would pick Kessler second time around too. He will have improved, whereas Joe has aged a little, plus Kessler now knows what to do. I thought the first fight was Joe's best ever performance (along with the Lacy fight). During the first six or so rounds i really thought Joe was going to get stopped - Kessler looked unstoppable and so dangerous. But Joe totally altered his game plan and left Kessler clueless. I'm a Calzaghe fan and that fight was one of the most nerve racking fights i've ever seen. No wonder he's not getting a rematch!

Calzaghe made it more interesting than it had to be the first time. Kessler can't beat this guy.

Wales gave jc the 10% that jc needed to beat kessler + kessler wasnt fit ,the doctor in wales said he shoulden fight, but anyway he did and jc won a fairly fight (close) but he won.Jc was the more active, but kessler did hit with the biggest punches. If there will be a remach kessler would win,but i cant see why jc should do a remach theres to big a risk 4 him to loose.

    Right..
Calzaghe was the better man that night. But had the 50.000 been with Kessler, who knows. 2 more rounds for kessler and it had been a draw.(as i remember it)
But no shame in loosing to Calzaghe

tbh i thought that they could have rematched 3 months after the first one and Kessler would have made the necessary adjustments to beat Calzaghe. IMO he just wasn't prepared to make them during the fight. Calzaghe flipped the script on Kessler and Kessler couldn't handle it. In a rematch thats much harder to do.

Still even though that's what I think, in reality Calzaghe W12 Kessler so props to Calzaghe :good

I would want 2 things from this rematch:

    1) To see if Kessler actually has learned to adapt under fire
    2) To see if Wales can fill that arena again. That was one wicked atmosphere

I think Kessler could make it a bit closer. Probably mainly through lack of motivation on Calzaghe's part and maybe Kessler learning from his experience. Overall I still feel like Calzaghe is in too good form to lose his edge.
