That's true, especially if Calslappy drained down to 168. If Kessler was smart like B Hop and managed to retain his lead after a couple of 10-8 rounds then he'd outpoint.

No doubt in my mind if they fought again obviously at 175lbs that Joe would win and much more comfortably.

Honestly Kessler would have won a rematch within five months, IMO. He stated that after reviewing the fight he knew what adjustments he would have to make to deal with Joe's chaos, and I believe him. Now that Joe's even older, I'd heavily favor the prime Mikkel at 168.

if kessler makes changes then how long will it take JC to work them out. when JC went into that fight with kessler he had to put on a show for the american market in a rematch he will not have to put on a show so i can see him fighting more off the back foot just throwing out the jab controling the range and going in for a few flurries but not the macho that he did in round 12 agaisnt kessler.

at 168 kesler would KO JC these days as i feel that JC's punch resistance in the early rounds is not what it used to be but if the fight lasts longer than 4 then i cannot see anyone putting JC out.

at 175 JC is happy now with the weight and it would be a first for kesselr so feel that JC would be stronger and be able to push kessler around alot. even though JC looks like a rake with no muscle on show there are not many fighters who boss him about.

Joe would beat Kessler again, He higly regards Kessler and he would train more to make sure he wouldn't slip up

Kessler hasn't been waiting for Joe to age, he wanted this signed as soon as the bell sounded. But yeah, the longer it's put off (if it ever comes off, period) the more to Mik's advantage it is. Pretty soon, I'd say even as early as the back end of 09 it will reach the point where it isn't even a fair fight anymore.

Dawson has more then done enough to warrant a match with Calzaghe. Kessler had his chance, he blew it, and was proved not good enough on the night.

On the night, right. If for whatever reason Dawson-Calzaghe doesn't get made, this is the next best (from a fan's perspective) for Joe. That goes without saying. The risk/reward for him is horribly unappealing, however.

The first fight was close and the rematch could be interesting, especially if Kessler doesn't injure his hand before the fight like last time.

Yes coz there's nothing wrong with Calzaghes hands at all.

He didn't say there wasn't, but that's a chronic thing and not unique to their fight.
