Calzaghe - Kessler fight of the year

Not even close to FOTY.

 

Bika - Codrington was more entertaining

 

Far from it... A fight has to be close for it to be considered fight of the year.

 

Pavlik vs. Taylor gets my vote.

 

Nah - nowhere near it for me. It was a very good fight, but never FOTY. It still makes me laugh that Hatton is a bigger favourite for SPOTY. He's not even an ATG. He'll be a HOFer, sure. And he makes it into the P4P top 10.

 

For pure quality Calzaghe - Kessler is right up there. I could watch it all day long as well. It'll be in the Top 5 this year.

I heard that Vasquez - Marquez was pretty good though although I never saw it.

Cotto - Mosley and Mayweather - Hatton should hopefully be candidates as well.

Vasquez Marquez 1 and 2. Its incredible the fights these two have had. You know your on top of the world when your two only fights of the year can be considered fight of the year.

 

I'm going to say Earl-Katsidis. I bought the fight on DVD already knew what to excpect and still was jumping up and down in my living room with 3 other guys yelling and screaming as they threw countless punches, exchanged numerous knockdowns, and beat each other to a pulp.... Anticlimatic end was the only downer...
