Yes, or go down trying. Not that I expected any fair play from Warren regarding the judges. Funny, he didn't even try to hide it, he flat out wanted the Italian judge.

My prediction: The Italian judge and the WarrensBO appointed judge will both score the fight (more) in favour of Joe than the last judge.

"You should never have to focus on the KO, if it comes it comes. Lacy is a good example on what happens if you solely focus on KO'ing your opponent"

    :huh

Yeah but then he's not making the same fault as Larsen did against Ottke.....not running the line

You should never have to. Unfortunately circumstances that you can't control can force you to go for the KO, if you know you can't win on the scorecards.

Larsen should have known the only way to beat Ottke in Germany was to KO him. Kessler is facing the same situation with Calzaghe I'm afraid.

Kessler CAN win on the scorecards...let us not get paranoid...Nothing could possibly be more damaging to Joe's career than a gift decision against Mikkel, and I mean nothing...all the accusations of the past would pale into insignificance compared to a gift decision now...he would be called Ottke II.!

He should have known from the start, and he probably did. Palle did, I'm sure. But as I said in another thread, Warren would probably take advantage of Palles absence to get his judge back. In such a situation you should expect Bettina Palle to step in, but she has proven unable to handle anything time and time again. Palle should get a competent partner instead of letting nepotism blind him.

Yep - Kessler should not go for a KO - it cramps his style, and puts him into JCs gameplan. I trust Kaszmarek.

Ottke retired a pretty rich man. As Enzo said, Joe has had his defining fights (now it is about money).
