    Yeah, except most didn't

A few were on a wind up, but I don't think any serious fan saw him as anything other than a live underdog

You actually told us Lacy was going to knock Joe out

    You as in Yanks

I've no idea what your actual prediction was, but a good proportion on here thought Lacy was going to win. There was no arguing with them, Jeff's left hook was going to expose this Euro bum

    Amusing

    Hindsight is indeed 20/20.

    Losing = exposed.

I don't think Lacy ever was that bad, it was rather Joe surprising the world with his inside game and relentless output. Shame Lacy ****ed up his shoulder, as he could have gone on to be someone.

lacy is not top 4 at 168 anymore.

he looked poor v typsko and manfredo.
with his shoulder and the sustained beating he took.
he has no left hook at the moment and his confindnce is shot.

no way should he be number 4 om current form

Blocky...I hope you're joking about Bute vs Lacy...Lacy would not go 12 rounds against Bute like he did against Calzaghe...

He wouldn't have to because he'd knock Bute out in the first round.;)

I ****ing love it! People forget SO QUICKLY!!!
Fact is, Lacy was the #1 challenger at the time, the only man anyone wanted Calzaghe to fight, and Calzaghe was a HUGE underdog.

    Calzaghe ruined him.

    Who the hell cares?

The only TRUTH about the matter, is that NOBODY knew that much about Lacy before the fight, and the people making those predictions knew very little about Calzaghe before the fight, which makes sense. Cazlaghe has only had ONE fight in his entire career against a prime A level fighter. And we don't even know THAT much about Kessler to begin with, though its obvious he's pretty talented.

Lacy was overrated but the way Joe Calzaghe handled him was very impressive.
