Quite similar but i think Joe has alot more respect now then he did then, but it was very similar, and i see a similar outcome.

I was confident of a Calzaghe victory back then and stuck 30 quid on him by decision

this time i feel alot more tension i said on these boards back then that Kessler posed a very real risk...more so than lacy or hopkins or tarver..

im apprehensive about this one as a JC fan if truth be told

Not really the same at all. The magnitude of the fight feels the same but Lacy went into his shell around this time. He just seemed to grunt a lot. Kessler is still confident and outgoing.

Joe seems too eager to prove he's relaxed and ready. I've never really seen him like before a fight. He's usually determined and angstful. Kessler has got to him.

i get the feelin they both do all they can to show just how confident and ready they are.
mikkel seems actually more relaxed and confident now than he did before the last one against andrade, dont know if it has to do with him beeing underdog this time and not haveing the same pressure on his shoulders..?

I think Kessler seems to be genuinely enjoying the build up to this fight, he seems to thrive on the energy it creates. He is a promoters dream, not **** talking but really getting into the whole build up

Thats right - his last fight in Denmark took a bigger toll on him, I am sure. Now the pressure is kind of off, and he can just "enjoy" himself.

It seems a little different...as if there is more electricity in the atmosphere than the Lacy fight, but both Kessler and Calzaghe appear to be relaxed and ready to go. Both are supremely confident and even saying that is an understatement.

:good - I have a hunch that these two blokes could be mates - after everything is over. Nonetheless, both have done each other a favor to square it off. Joe needed a Kessler, Kessler needed a Joe.

At the end of the day, they are two decents blokes who are not like PBF. They are down to earth and respectful. Calzaghe comes across as arrogant sometimes but I put that down to him being an emotional fighter. Kessler is level headed. Both have incredible amounts of self confidence.

If one thing is for sure, they respect each other a helluva lot and both believe they are the best. This fight, these two boxers are what this sport should be about. Screw the PBF name calling bandwagon, these are two top class boxers prepared to lay it all on the line against each other (for a lot of money).

After learning more of JCs personal life and beliefs, I find him to be a likable guy. Very down to earth, like Kessler.

There is a thin line between pride, arrogance and confidence. Till this day, there havent been anything for Calzaghe not to be confident about, but he still maintains a respect for his opponents.

So all in all - as much as I have come to respect Calzaghe's fans on this site, so has my respect for JC quardrupled.

May the best man win, and not be arrogant about it.

Strange, I saw it as the two of them having a laugh at the tension - maybe I just didn't hear what Kessler said.
