Calzaghe left a massive void when he retired. The SMW division in particular.

Jones knocked Calzaghe down with a forearm.... His chin was never shaky, there is simply no way of you proving it is. Just look at the facts, the guy never ever lost. When he was knocked down he got up and destroyed his opponents. If his chin was shaky he would have held on for his life. Froch would have not beaten Joe whatsoever. If Kessler, Hopkins or Jones couldn't what makes you think Froch could? :patsch

There you have it a kid with **** all boxing intelligience. :good

Team Elite's favorite topic is Roy Jones Jr, you should study some of their works, it is quiet insightful.

Calzaghe fought a shot RJJ and look what happend, he got wobbled and put on his ass by 40 year old.:-(

Calzaghe was hurt by a shot Jones jr:-

"Yes, I was hurt, he caught me with a good shot. But that's what being a champion is all about - when you're put down on the floor, you come back stronger," admitted Calzaghe after the fight.

    news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7714516.stm

Calzaghe faced trouble from Shot Jones Jr

"It's an honour getting in the ring with Roy Jones, the guy is a wicked fighter and caused me a lot of trouble. I didn't see the punch coming, it was a good shot. It's the fourth time I've been down and come back strongly."

    news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7714516.stm

Shot RJJ then went on to get KTFO in 1 round by Danny Green, making Calzaghe's shitty win, look even shittier.

    Listen, The Insane, Pay attention.

Calzaghe's chin was becoming shaky in his LHW days, he got floored by two 40 year olds, and one of them hasnt had a knockout in almost 10 years.

    Hopkins, and Jones are 40+.

Froch had the best chance of knocking Calzaghe out around the 168 division mark, Calzaghe knew this and thus kept his distance and stuck to fighting 40 year olds who had no chance of knocking him out.

You can't spin your way out of this.

It doesn't matter if Calzaghe beat a better version of Kessler, and it doesn't matter if he had a better win over Bika. It doesn't matter whether what you've wrote is true or not.

We are comparing Ward's CURRENT resume, to Joe's resume, but only up to the McIntyre fight.

Your Glen Johnson example is also irrelevant to our discussion. :good

I have always stated that had Roy hit him cleanly, Calzaghe would be even more hurt.... It wasn't like Roy intentionally threw a cheap shot, Calzaghe actually moved his head into the forearm trying to get out of the way of the fist with one of his awkward angles.. There was more power generated at the end of Roy's fist.. This is simple to understand. Calzaghe actually may have dodged a bullet there.

But fact of the matter is, shot Jones Jr, that couldn't even go 12 with Glen Johnson 4 years earlier, and went life and death with Hanshaw a year earlier, put Joe Calzaghe on his ass.. Just some facts for you.:good

You had better do some more research before you post these garbage lies.. It is well known that Roy Jones was not shot agasint Joe for what he did to Jeff Lacy in his next fight..:patsch

    Get your facts straight.

Here you see why The Insane, is nothing but a glass jawed fanboy with a disgraceful VCash total.

Getting hit by a fist is far more damaging that getting hit by the forearm. You need to stop playing Fight Night on the Playstation and actually study punching technique.

I don't need to get a GCSE physics book and explain moments, force and torque to you, most of it can be understood using common sense.

If you were forced to take a crisp left hook off Mike Tyson's fist flush on your chin, or a Mike Tyson forearm smash, both would probably put your glass jaw to sleep, however the fist would probably put your glass skull into a coma while a forearm will maybe give you a concussion. I would rather be hit by a forearm than a clenched fist if they were the only two options available.

Would you rather be hit by the end of a sledgehammer, or the stick (middle part)?

If forearms were the harder shot than the fist, then you would have seen fighters using the forearm shot more often, especially at close range or in the pocket.

Lay off the Fight Night on Playstation son, and start observing the game with true noble spectacles not blurred by any nationalism or bias.

Also if Joe Calzaghe did get put on ***** street by a Shot RJJ's forearm instead of a fist, that just further clarifies how bad Calzaghe's chin was deteriorating as I pointed out earlier.

    Thank you for this post.

I really needed a good laugh today.

    You are an idiot.

You can't fool people who have actually done their own research here to formulate their opinions, buddy.

Says the guy who uses common opponents as a way to "disprove" someone's argument.

As you say, "look at the facts." Jones dropped Calzaghe and Calzaghe said that Jones was a tough fight for him. Froch now is better than Jones was then.

And then he tries to insult the other poster with a very macho proclamation of knowing more than the other guy. Suuuuuuuure...
