Kessler blew his load in the 12th.

He would have been KTFO had it been 15 rounds.

The problem i have with Joe is his sloppy.I think personally his terrible to watch. His punches arent with the knuckle he slaps and clubs too much in an attempt to land more punches rather than an effective output, and fundamentally his quite poor with a fairly pororus defense.BUT despite all of this he has a style that is VERY hard to beat.He can punch has decent handspeed is a southpaw and has an excellent chin.Joes workrate is one of the best in boxing.Unless theres a fighter that can keep up with that i dont see Joe getting beat any time soon.

Give me a break - Kessler is always dangerous, but one punch certainly isn't going to stop Joe. And Kessler isn't a one punch KO artist.

Calzaghe was the one doing more damage and Kessler's face tells the story compared to Calzaghe's face after the fight.

And the body shot did hurt Kessler - ever take a perfectly placed body shot that you don't see coming? Those HURT you big time!

Calzaghe beats anybody from 160-175 - he could fight Dawson, Pavlik, Kessler, Erdei, Hopkins, Woods, Taylor, Abraham, or Bute. It doesn't matter...he would keep his 0.

Those uppercuts wouldn't have landed had Calzaghe fought a perfect tactical fight from the start. The uppercuts were a result of when Calzaghe was over-eager to try and go toe-to-toe with Kessler.

I did see the Typsko fight and yes, I also think that was a bad decision.

Joe did not look like a weak punching man. Kessler was the bigger hitter but Joe hurt him, even Kessler admitted it.
I fail to see how Kessler could beat Joe in a rematch, he landed flush on Joe's chin several times but couldn't budge him.

Some people will never like Joe Calzaghe, you will complain when he fights people like Manfredo (no disrespect to Peter, but he was rubbish), and when he fights the best possible challenger you knock him because he had a real fight and took some punches.

If he chopped off an arm and a leg, then beat PBF, what would you say then?

I think the title of this thread is a typo. It was meant to read "Calzaghe looked Venerable"

I think Calzaghe looked vulernable in one way only, that being that he didn't look like he could knock him out, or even hurt him. Until he did hurt him, lol.

Calzaghe was nothing short of masterful in how he seized the tempo of that fight and altered its course. It was as great an example of pure boxing I have seen. To state that Kessler was the only one who looked 'dangerous' speaks that you probably don't know much about the sport.

It was a bit daft early on when he was a bit too cocky dropping his hands but his attitude often reflects his situation, against a more dangerous opponent he would have kept his hands up like he did after getting tagged big by Kessler.

cut? I'd say mild scratch, barely noticeable during the fight, the cutman didnt even bother with it and you couldnt see a thing afterwards...

Kessler on the other hand looked like he had shipped quite a few afterwards...
