He cleared out LHW and held all the major titles, beating Hill, Griffen, Tarver, Reggie Johnson and Woods is nothing to **** on, which is why he was undisputed.

Guy is an irational hater, he'll swing from Vitaly's nuts, a guy that has done less than Byrd and Ruiz and this Shitty HW division, but hate on RJJ who has done so much over the yrs.

James Toney had no problem doing the same thing Roy did against the same opponent. Roy won a paper belt that was discarded by THE Heavyweight Champion Lennox Lewis.

Calzaghe was too busy cleaning out a division not division hopping like Jones to avoid fights.

Calzaghe is an excellent boxer... end of discussion you bunch of blinkered haters.
Last week it was all about Pavlik. Sore are we fellas? Calzaghe has fought and beat everyone in front of him. Everybody has weak opponents on their resume. Everyone has cherry picked at one point or another. He has ducked and has been ducked. That's boxing of late. The main reason he has not stepped up earlier is politics. He was never seen as enough of a financial reward to offset against the danger he posed to potential opponents. you all need to wise up and realise that while he has waited for his break he has had to carry on fighting to make his money and keep ticking over the defences.

Here are two scenes missing from Joe Calzaghe's resume:

These knockouts occurred when Jones was 35 years old. Calzaghe is now 36.5 years old and has still not suffered any KO loses, let alone the two 1-punch ones dealt Roy.

People can argue all they want about Jones being better than Calz in his prime, and that is fine, but Calzaghe's overall career/record in the sport is superior to Roy's, both because he has never been defeated and because he has never been stopped, as has Jones.

Jones was like a meteor that puttered out when the reflexes began to go. Joe's more like a large planet that you know is going to be in the same orbit time after time: win, win, win, win, win.

I feel the same way. Even Floyd's record speaks for itself-castillo, corrales, hatton. All quality wins.

that's a stupid thing to say. Calzaghe has more longevity but there's absolutely no comparison in their prime. Longevity doesn't make a boxer greater. Calzaghe won't even garner a top 100 ATG listing outside of Brittain at the end of his career whereas Jones Jr will be a top 25.

if any of you americans ever watched calzaghe in his earlier years you would know that he was much more athletic and had better movement, the fact that hes old, past his prime and still kicking ass just shows how good he really is.
