Did I say he never got hit flush? :think

    No I don't think I did.

G-man doesn't win this, despite how much some people want to believe it.

Even when (if) Gerald does catch him, Joe has an excellent chin... anyone disputing this please show me the clip of Joe being hurt, really hurt and in trouble... at any point in his career.

    That's all. Thanks.

You're right I dont think he was ever truly hurt in his career. Then again i dont think he ever faced a fighter that can throw bombs like Gerald.

You obviously have not seen many fights of Joe Calzaghe. If you can show me any footage of Joe 'back-peddling' for any significant amount of time in his whole career, I won't think you so much of an imbecile.

    :good

This is a proper point. Obviously a tough and risky fight for Joe. I think that if he brings his A game he can withstand the storm and turn the tide with smarts.

lol, i doubt it. that is what lacy was meant to do. and yeas i know G-man is better than lacy but in essence just a big puncher, like the great nigel benn.

Gerald McClellan couldn't knock out Nigel Benn (though he came close) how the **** is he going to knock Calzaghe out who is twice as ring savvy as Benn and has a better chin!

    FFS!

This would be a great fight. Calzaghe would win more rounds, but G-Man very well may score a KD or two. I'd favor Calzaghe in a barnburner.

And anyone who uses the Benn fight to evaluate McClellan needs to dig a little deeper. He had problems very early in that fight.

well he had problems before the fight i reckon. His relationship had suddenly deteriorated with manny stewart because in my opinion i reckon the people closest to him noticed something wasnt rite in his health, but instead he wanted to listen to big fat king with a hefty pay check.

i would have preffered to see this fight over gerald vs jones at middle. two brilliant styles which could have changed at any time, i mean gerald was a slugger but he did have terrific speed, i reckon he would have given joe alot of problems for 5 - 6 rounds before joe takes over the fight and wins on a UD.
