Calzaghe - Most Overrated Fighter

**** me I recall all the Yanks raving about Lacy being the reborn Christ/Tyson/SuperStar & the new bright future of world/Planet America Boxing :yep:yep & odds on fav 2 KO Calzaghe, a mere formality in most yank quarters.

Lacy gets his bottom spanked & as usual the yanks slag Lacy/Now Un-american) off as a bum, all props too Lacy for hangin in there, no one wanted too fight Calzaghe + as we all know Boxing politics come into play, Jones is tied up with HBO for years, ottke is hunkered down in his Fuhrer Bunker in Germany, Game over:smoke Don't blame Joe,

If Joe's title was there for the taking then why did'nt all the big boys stateside want no part of him, Warren tried for years to get Ottke/Hopkins & Jones but as per usual they convieniatly priced-em selves out evertime. ASK THEM:yep

Give Joe a break will yer & stop the squealing, I'am not a Calzaghe fan but he'll always get my prop's as he's got balls & he'd fight any **** anytime any ****in where & YOU KNOW THAT 2 BE TRUE:smoke

 

It always amazes me why people can't have a middle ground with Calzaghe. His nuthuggers can't seem to admit that he spent far too long fighting B - level guys and his haters can't admit that he was amazingly consistent and has several very good wins (no defining win as yet but if Kessler wins this 168 tournament without an L then that will probably be it).

The Eubank, Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins wins are all excellent in my book and his consistency against fighters like Bika, Woodhall and Mitchell was also impressive. Fights like Tocker Pudwill mean nothing, he was possibly a bit lucky with the Robin Reid bout and the Jones fight was a complete joke (I can normally accept other peoples opinions but if anyone disagrees with me on this one then you're an idiot).

I'd have Joe around 75-85 on an ATG list, a great fighter but never did nearly enough to crack the top 50 or so.

 

most people does not rate JC high so he aint overrated much

 

It certainly wouldn't be the first time a Calzaghe-hater started an alias to ply his rhetoric.

Dinamita doesn't think Calzaghe was a great fighter. It's not exactly a hate crime or a massive government conspiracy, there's nothing sinister there, I simply don't think he was a great boxer. He may have looked great, but that's because he was fighting mediocre opposition. Simple :good
