I conveniently bolded it for you in that other post. You said he was/is the undisputed best SMW. That's my point. You disagree with my logic and I disagree with yours, it's simple.

I was laughing too but the Hagler reference takes the p!ss.

I like Joe and think he gets a hard time but putting him ahead of anyone of Marvin's calibre is deluded.

I dont like to make ATG comments about fighters that I havent watched the whole career of as they happen ie Ali was a known great fighter, but many of his fights were before my time so I dont like to comment.
I can only comment truly of fighters from late 80s onwards

    Fair enough.

Theres enough Ali footage to make a solid judgement though, ive seen every one his fights from Doug Jones up to Berbick

But I get what your saying though.

There is footage, but that doesnt tell a whole story. I know Ali had about 5 lucky decisions and lost about 5 times but did also beat all of the top fighters of his era, with these facts alone I dont like to pass comment because I didnt live it to know the full facts.
I think Lufcrazy is quite a good poster but he passes comment on alot of fighters he didnt see first time round and often doesnt have a great idea of how it was, yet on todays fighters he knows what he on about

He's barely top 80, if that, or your hella generous. One of the worst resumes for someone of his talent and a supposed ATG. His resume is just paper thin. For that I put most of the blame on ******. Although I'm sure Joe didn't mind defending his belt at home making great money vs. no hopers. Can you blame him?

He wouldn't be in my top 100, and he isn't in the top 100 of any serious boxing historian who prizes resume above all other factors. End of thread, really.

Failey can't even give a ranking of the only fighter he 'kinda' knows about? typical ****in coward.

And Failey, yes you are on my ignore moron. When you're quoted, they appear. That mystery settled enough for you now?
