Hahaha, why would Toney look for Calzaghe? Calzaghe was a nobody up until a couple of years ago. Toney was a star in 1991.

    Are you on coke?

Well, I guess you're all right...

I mean Calzaghe did have the balls to fight Kessler. You know what he is?

A BLOWN UP SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT...So, if we play by your rules, he doesn't count...

corona, you aren't getting this. You are a bit slow it must be said, par for the course as a Hopkins bumboy

Kessler is a real SMW, he's been there all his career

De La Hoya, Trinidad and co aren't genuine MW's

Now repeat after me, 'Bernard Hopkins is scared shitless of Joe Calzaghe'

    You'll feel much better

I really don't understand why Hopkins has fans

hes a boring old *******, disrespected an entire nation with his actions against Tito, fouls all the way through fights, has fought mediocre competition his whole career

Hey *******, TFFP...learn your boxing history.

KESSLER BEGAN AS A SUPER WELTERWEIGHT (154lbs.). In fact, his first 10+ victories were are super welter...you see what I mean?

DLH and Trinidad aren't genuine MWs...so what? That's what fighters do. And the great ones, win titles are "non-genuine" weights.

Hopkins isn't scared of Calzaghe. This fight will occur, and Hopkins will kick his ass just the same.

Besides numbnuts, how cool are you defending your idol Calzaghe against a 43 year old haha? Calzaghe NEEDS a defining fight. He needs a REAL opponent for once. He needs to fight someone legit, and he knows it. That's why he wants Hopkins.

So let's see the balls on your boy Calzaghe to come to the US and fight Hopkins. Once the fight is made, we'll see how he does with he wide punches and lack of balance.:)

Fighting at a lower weight early in your career doesn't mean ****, the body is still growing into your natural weight

This isn't the same as fighting a De La Hoya, who was a natural welter

You have more confidence in Hopkins picking up his pen to sign a contract than most of us. Our doubts aren't without foundation, since he was a chicken years ago when he was closer to his best. By best, I mean when he was beating up welters, obviously

Your point about calling him out aged 60 or whatever is a bit spastic. Since this fight could have been done years ago, as we all know

Now I don't really want to get into this because I like B-Hop, but in the highlighted section you make fun of Joe for calling out a 43yr old and then go on to imply that the same 43yr old is a REAL, legit, defining fight.
Also I don't think people should say Joe only fights at home when he and B-Hop have BOTH only fought abroad twice.

Yeah, in 2002 right? When Hopkins was 38 haha? the same age as the Roy Jones Calzaghe calls "old" is right now?

This is all hypocrisy. All fighters do this bull****.

One other thing...Hopkins' "blown up welterweights" were much much much better fighters than Calzaghe's "natural super middleweights".

And even if we say Hopkins is "scared" (which I don't believe), Calzaghe never made an effort to fight anyone else who was a true champion or live contender from 160-175 other than Lacy (who I always knew was just some overrated jacked dude)...

Calzaghe was comfortable racking up wins in the UK against no-name competition. Look at who he fought. Look at who his opponents lost to. They are all bums one after another after another.

It took Calzaghe 9 years to even attempt to unify the belts....you can say what you want, but you can't tell me the whole world ducked Calzaghe.

CALZAGHE WANTED TO PAD HIS RESUME, and you know it. And he stayed in his comfort zone and made mandatory defenses against bums instead of trying to solidify a hall of fame career.

Well Hopkins is a legit name....Calzaghe needs someone other than Eubanks on his list of opponents...

As far as fighting abroad, let's face it. The biggest fights (at least in the divisions we're speaking of) traditionally take place in the United States. I mean if you look at the championship fights from Middle, Super Middle, and Light Heavy in the last 10 years, where did most take place?

Isn't it weird that Calzaghe NEVER fought in the US???

Classic stuff from the American fan

Joe's demolition of Jeff Lacy gets discredited

You were the only person in American that thought Joe was going to win that fight, congratulations

America beforehand: Joe is getting knocked out in 2 rounds, Lacy is the new Tyson LOLZ
America afterwards: Lacy was an overrated bum

What if Lacy goes on to be a genuine force at SMW/LHW? Likewise with Kessler? Don't you the have the brain to assess the skills of boxers, unless they are called Oscar De La Hoya, and are famous in America?

Of course... but do you think Kessler and Lacy are bonafide stars???

I don't, never did. Lacy the new Tyson? hahaah who thought that???

And if Lacy and/or Kessler become a legitimate FORCE at SMW/LHW, I will give Calzaghe more credit. Until then, they look like bums to me haha.

Lacy is a one-dimensional slugger with no defense, and Kessler only fights bums in Denmark....Am I missing something?

And what is with your anti-American stuff? I don't root harder for American fighters, I just call them like I see them.

I make points, and you ignore them...because YOU CANNOT ADDRESS THEM ADEQUATELY. So, you change the subject and try a different approach.

Do you really think Calzaghe is SOOOOOO GREAT? How can you assess his greatness when he has never fought a CONFIRMED great fighter? Does Calzaghe making overrated bums look bad make him great? I don't think so.

Calzaghe is a good fighter, he throws a lot of punches, and he has fast hands.

He gets hit too much, he has shaky balance, and his punches are too wide. Put him in with a straight punching counter puncher or someone just more athletic and faster (Roy Jones), and he gets demolished.

    Yep, we do.

    It's called coronacards.

(Can't tell one fighter from another and can't tell his ass from a hole-in-the-ground.)
