Calzaghe needs Hopkins more than Hopkins needs him

Hey, I'm a die hard Joe fan, AND Roy...but Hopkins fought a tough bunch...Wright,,,Oscar...Joppy..Taylor TWICE...Tarver..and beat Pavlik...Hopkins looked like 30 when he fought Pavlik...though at his best, Joe and Roy may STILl have betean him,( despite what the haters say ) but neither will beat his resume

 

What about his losses, the fact that he fought some utter shite when defending his IBF belt for all those years, and the fact that all bar one of his biggest victories came against fighters stepping up in weight? Not saying that i disagree, i just don't think it's anywhere near as clear-cut as some are making out.

You are right! I forgot about that. You remember when the bell sounded in that fight and Hakkar started doing circles around Hopkins like he was a ******ed kid. Hopkins just stood there like saying WTF! :yep

 

Very true, though careers have actually took similar paths. Hopkins hit list before Tito (who he fought about the same age as Joe is now) was hardly something you'd shout from the rooftops.
