Kessler could beat him in a rematch, but since it's not very likely that he will gain that(and perfectly understandable) - then I don't think anyone can beat him, as he decides to lay up the gloves before he withers. What I am more amazed about Calzaghe is not his usual trademarks, but his ability to adapt to counter a guy, and not fight the same way. So his intelligence, and ability to be superior in new areas. He could be an excellent chess player, which is what he is in the ring.
If I was an undefeated fighter and I had a choice over which resume was mine - I'd go with Floyd Mayweather Jr. :deal
I think its a serious possibility that he gets old over night. To me there was a big difference in his overall energy and body language between the Jeff Lacy fight and Mikkel Kessler fight. What do you think? Am I the only one that feels this way? I hope to God I'm wrong, I am rooting for old joe to retire undefeated.
Calzaghe takes care of himself, is in Prime condition, never taken a hard beating in the ring, can fight until he's 40, high workrate, brains, speed, chin, boxing ability, don't see anybody beating him for another 3, 4 or maybe 5 years...
Why can't you just accept fun threads? We all talk about serious matters within the sport also, not just ridiculousness like those guys.
You dont belong on that list....but CHJ DEFINATELY DOES!!!! He is the same animal as PacD, or bigtime9...
I'm sorry, I didn't realize this was a FUN thread. Back to kissing CHJ's ass for you. There, now isn't that fun?
Amsterdam is equally ridiculous with his fanaticism. He's just a little better about it in his posts. But just as biased.
Nah, those guys know nothing about boxing are lowbrow idiots. CHJ is intelligent and knows a lot about boxing from a more awkward standpoint of analysis.
