what r u on about.any loss should be held against you.if he dont want to lose he should not have taken on that stupid fight.that was just money grabbing greed and should definately be held against him.
and how many of those fights have been at the top level? 4 calzaghe has bad hands now, he can't help that.
Whats with all this KO **** ? Its boxing not MMA , you know, the sweet science , Calzaghe has had ****ed hands for the last 7 years he uses his BOXING skills to get the job done ie Kessler we all know Joe Calzaghe's banging days were over almost as soon as they began , Calzaghe is a boxer and sadly for the haters the sport is BOXING and a man with ****ed up hands has boxed his way into the top three p4p on the planet with said ****ed hands.
No sorry cant agree with Joe being bumped up to number one on the back of a victory over Jones. For this to happen Jones would have to prove that he is not shot and Joe would have to put on a very good performance. Way too much is made over peoples 0. If there is one thing that boxing could learn from mma is that to be the best you have to fight the best-a flawless record is not worth anything if you have not fought the best in or around your weight class. Using this as criteria Joe should def not be no. 1 despite the fact he is avery good fighter.
What am I on about? Are you stupid? Here you go: The credit you gain P4P for a fight depends on several factors. The quality of opponent, the weight, the result, etc. Understand so far? Good. Let's look at some examples. Pacquiao moves up in weight to fight a top 10 lightweight and wins easily. His P4P reputation improves. He can't move up because he is already a clear number 1. Now if Vazquez, say, had moved up to super feather to fight him and Manny had struggled to win a controversial SD, his P4P reputation would be hurt and you would be justified in moving him down a few places. On the other hand, if he moved up to heavyweight and lost a SD against Klitschko, he would gain more credit than any win at lightweight could ever get him. Provided he doesn't get stopped, I see no reason to drop Pacquiao from his position at number 1, at least provided JMM doesn't win in very impressive fashion. I hope I've helped.
Im afraid his legacy would be tarnished forever. Too many people are waiting to jump on Joe to prove he is an overrated fighter and a loss would prove to be great fodder for them.
same way i see it. If Calzahge loses to RJ, then his whole career is gonna b scrutinized. So 4 his sake he better come out and get the job done, even though I think RJ is gonna win
Totally agree. A loss would open him up to countless accusations of ducking, hiding in Wales etc. While I still have him favourite against Jones it would not surprise me to see Jones pull off an upset. Think Joe himself is slowing down and this fight will bw morw competitive than most people seem to think. Jones ko9 would be sweet.
