why do you think he hasn't got that recognition after all this time - even though he's been undefeated and the best super-middle of his era?

Calzaghe is certainly top 3 & I wouldnt argue either way whichever way you place JC, JMM & Pac.

...have a funny feeling (and he has a real chance than a lot of people would give him), what if old RJJ manage to beat Calz in the same manner as Bernard's schooling of Pav? Would be fun to see the reaction of these Calz groupies..:yep

I agree, for me they are the top 3 (with B-Hop now at number 4) but to place them in order is tricky as each has a good claim.

Maybe because the SMW division from 97-2008 was not as talent ladened as it was three/four years previously.

I am not being funny or nothing but I don't want to see a Hopkins Calzaghe rematch, the first one was **** and so would be the second.

Their styles clash too much for it ever to be a good fight. Because no matter what some idiots on here think Hopkins could not fight against Calzaghe the way he did against Pavlik. Also, if they did fight again we would see Hopkins run out of steam and everyone say he was old again. The reason why he gassed in april was due to the way Calzaghe fought. Hopkins did not start acting the way he did (faking those low blows etc) thinking that he was winning. Also like Roach said, he kept walking to the wrong corner, now this is not because he was having "senior moments" its because Calzaghe disoriantated him, its what he does to everyone, look at what Kessler said after his fight with him.

So I am sorry if that is not what some people want to hear but it is the truth. Also, look at the fight Calzaghe won at least 7 rounds with that meaning Hopkins got 5 plus the 10-8 round in the first that made it 115-114 to Calzaghe.

    End of.

Read some of the posts on this site. Not everyone is giving Joe credit for being an ATG, even though he has earned it.

can't believe some are still using this line after all these years just to put down pac and make their boy look handsome on paper. :-(

rjj doesn't have a chance. that is why joe picked him so that he could preserve his zero and retain his "greatness". joe is a current top p4p fighter. jones have been fighting has beens and obscure fighters.

Joe never had Hop ready to quit so you can stop with that lunacy lol.... Joe used his fast hands, his own defense, and punch output to beat Hop, and it still looked ugly. If Hop decides to open up like he did last night, Cal will find it hard to win a rematch. I have Cal #1 pfp with J.M.M 2, and PAc 3. Don't act like Cal won 9 rounds against Hop. Even if you thought he won 9 rounds, he landed maybe 2-3 punches a round:rofl.

Please. I don't know where you guys get his "no chance" comment. Pac is doing the same thing. Fighting a money fight AGAIN with an older Mexican fighter. Any sane fan knew Pav would have a hard time beating PAv. Only the fools thought PAv would ko Hop. Pac is going for the money also. Pac is not fighting legit comp and taking money fights, and he has been doing that for a while. You PAc fans always go back to the Barrera and Morales fights when someone questions why he is fighting Dlh. Pac is fighting Hatton next, and PAc fans will try to legitimize Hatton as a real challenger when he was exposed by Floyd, and is getting worse and worse as a fighter. I hope Paulie ko's Hatton so I don't have to throw up when Pac-Hatton is announced.

You are a defender of PAc so anything said negative about him, you'll belittle. If Pac beats Dlh and fights Hatton next, he is a fraud plain and simple. He was a fraud champion at 130, he took on a weak 135 lb champ, and is fighting an old Mexican at age 35 and at a weight he hasn't fought in 8 years. F-R-A-U-D!

the no chance comment means he have little to just a punchers chance. do you really expect jones to win just because he was once great? at least in hopkins case, he was competetive with joe and still a top p4p fighter at the moment.

at least pac is going for the money and at the same time challenging himself by moving up 2 weight divisions. do you honestly believe that marquez or campbell would be a tougher opponent for pac than hoya? of course you would say yes coz you are parading that pac will ko hoya. but if we would make a poll, many people would say otherwise. i think you are only saying that so that it would lessen the impact if the impossible happens and pac did beat hoya.
