    :lol::lol::lol::patsch:patsch

    Look at the highest rated comments underneath this article. :-(
    Lots of idiots quoting 46-0 and even "Calzaghe beat Roy Jones, what has Froch ever done" :rofl
    "Calzaghe reigned for longer"
    "Calzaghe was undefeated in more fights"

    This just goes to show how little the general public know about boxing and the serious damage that a lack of TV coverage has done to the sport.

    It's just sad, though, how nobody knows anything about the sport any more.
    This is why the likes of Allegedly are able to take fans for mugs with bull**** title defences. The casuals fall for it.

    Going by some of the utter wank I see about football, tennis, etc, I'd say very few people really know the sports they watch. They just like to think they do.

    Im sick of justifying froch's reseme and achievments to my fellow welshman and friends who casually follow boxing. Bunch of one eyed monsters. They just cant get past the fact that Froch dared to call Calzaghe out years ago. I agree Froch went about it the wrong way but get the **** over it and appreciate what hes doing now!

    a few of my mates think lennox is canadian, rickys the exciting one, but calzaghes the best brit boxer of all time. these are the people who thought haye audley would be competitive and that haye would ko wlad. i managed to get them to watch froch - bute despite them knowing neither, then said its the best fight theyve ever seen. most people know **** all about boxing!

    Boxers, like any sportsmen undergo a deification process once they have retired. When Calzaghe was active people could stop themselves having a pop, now on the general its 'would lose to Calzaghe'. The same thing wil happen with the Klitschko's. Same with Froch when he has been gone a few years.

    Froch is ducking Cleverly and Bute was a hyped up limited boxer.
    I wonder if that is what some people will say, that is what some people said about Calzaghe fighting bigger fry instead of fighting somebody like Froch who was just starting to break through at the top level at the time and what some people said about the new Mike Tyson, Jeff Lacy that was ruined by Calzaghe.

    What comes around goes around i suppose.

    I do cringe at the 'undefeated' comments but let's be serious here. Does anyone not think that as good as Froch's win was on Saturday night that it's all getting blown out of proportion? At the end of the day it was Lucien Bute he fought, a very good boxer but you can't call him elite.

    If Bute is Froch's best win then the people who claim that he's greater than Calzaghe are quite frankly talking bollocks. The same bollocks that Froch himself talked in that article.

    Froch needs to win a title at 175, revenge Kessler and at least give a better account of himself against Ward to start claiming he's greater than Calzaghe. I give him a slight chance of achieving one of them.

    I don't really know how people bother with casual boxing fans who talk utter ****, it's one of my major pet peeves.

    I watched this Froch fight at a bar. Couple of Welsh dudes walked in, started telling us that Calzaghe would'a battered Froch. Can't really argue with that, but they were supportin' Bute and said that Calzaghe's record would never ever be broken. Welsh folks:-(
