Calzaghe offered 10 million to fight Pavlik!

joe is not going to turn down 10mill to fight a 1 dimensional fighter who he will easily beat.

I suggest you google 'Glen Johnson' and check the results. Calslappy will duck Pavlik, no doubt.

 

He won't turn it down to fight Pavlik either.

calzaghe does make those mistakes in fights.

where i disagree totally is in the first part of your anylsis

calzaghe being an awkward /experienced southpaw will take the pavlik jab away from him totally , which will make it very hard for kelly to get the timing for his right hand , as it will be single lead rights he will have to land.

,my reasoning why calzaghe will take away the kelly jab, is past experience of calzaghe in fights.

calzaghe has fought stand up boxers/bombers/spoilers/ in fact every style and while he is vunerable to round house and overhand rights he has never been able to be put on the end of anyone`s jab despite being in range all the time.

if kessler could not land his pet punch, which is harder and faster and more consistent than kellys , then it will be hard for the short stepping kelly to land his jab.

hopkins only managed to land 11 jabs on calzaghe in 12 rounds.

i do beleive the pavlik right wil be a factor in the fight if they meet, just cannot agree that the pavlik jab will be a factor at all.

 

Such a quandary .. nearing the end of your career .. took some measured risk in fighting a real fighter, albeit one 43 years of age, looked really mediocre in many respects even in winning ... made almost zero new fans in the States as nobody watched that fight and left thinking anything of the Welshman ... needs to try again with another real opponent ... not sure if he can really handle the 40 year old Jones after fighting so dismally against Hop ... could fight the new middleweight king but the younger Pavlik might put his lights out and damage his reputation and completely ruin what he has accomplished in the US (which is very little).

Guess the feather-fisted fighters in the Enzo Calzaghe stable aren't worth a damn as sparring partners in prep for Pavlik .. should have called Haye .. lol

 

I suggest you take your head out of your backside and wise up to the fact that Joe would have made the fight with Glen if Glen hadn't proven to be less than ordinary as SMW. Glen didn't deserve a title shot and a win over him for Joe would have meant jack **** at the time.

Just to put it in perspective, Tocker bleeding Pudwill has a better record at SMW than Glen.

 

Pavlik just screwed up large ... no Joe for Kelly, even Enzo would get KO'd ... lol .. should have carried The Rocket for a few rounds ....

 

lol .. Glen Johnson KO 10 over Calzaghe ... every day of the week .. but Joe knows better than to go there ... could there be anything more asinine than comparing Glen Johnson in any sense to one of Joe's bums?

 

The fight was never gonna be at super middle though, that was always touted as Joes step up to light heavy. Joe pulled out a couple of times claiming a back injury and then continued fighting at super middle. Idiot.
