Well, lets face facts. Ward is boring as hell and Calzaghe was hit-and-miss even in his prime when it came to fan-friendly fights. There is no way in hell anyone is going to fork out 25 million to get them together four years after Calzaghe retired, you'd be lucky to get a third of that if he was in his prime now. If any fool paid out that amount of money to make this fight this year then they would be throwing away millions and getting a tiny fraction of it back in return. It's just not a profitable fight.

Dollars not pounds but still a lot of money if your bank balance is on the slide

If Ward and Calzaghe fought 3 times it wouldn't generate 25 million.

No one will ever offer Joe 25 million dollars troll, can you just realize he isnt that important and no one truly cares there isnt fighter like him(style wise) today in boxing, no one cares!!!
And lets talk science fiction if he got this offer he would come back for that paycheck, but no one will give him that money because outside UK he is more less irelevant especially for 25 million.

Calzaghe has unfinished business with Sven Ottke, Ottke literally took half his soul they both shared the 168 championship for 7 years/20+ title defenses without making eye contact

No Ottke no meaning of Joe Calzaghe reign at 168 :verysad ... An example of a legacy damaging duckjob

Cal should have a tune up first with Froch then fight ward if he beats ward a final retirement fight at the millennium stadium with Groves

Calzaghe is retired, some US yankees hasn't accepted it yet. Deal with it 46-0

Would make ya curious as to what level Calzaghe could get back to? Obviously he wouldn't beat a prime Ward but if he took a few months to get in great shape, had a tune up fight, would he then be able to beat some names if the desire was there? While unlikely, it wouldn't be impossible, others have done it.
