Joe says that Jones is "the right fight for me at the moment." Yup, a fight with a past it legend is the right fight for a man near retirement himself. Pavlik is far too greater risk to Joe's precious unbeaten record. The same reason he never faced Jones in his prime.

Erm, didn't Jones say the very words "I had a belt to protect" :?

Who was doing the ducking again?

Yeah because Calzaghe really pulled out all the stops to make that fight didn't he? Don't come with that wafer thin argument fanboy.

And Jones would never have taken the fight anyway, so it's all a bit futile isn't it?

And then you have your boyfriend, who turned down the fight point blank and I'd use that very word to describe the argument Joe is a ducker. Thin.

Not worth having this discussion with you. You're too biased. I think you believe Calzaghe would have beaten a prime Jones.

It's not worth it, or you just have no point to argue?

It's hard being in your position. You are desperate to hate Calzaghe, but its tough arguing with what he has done recently. So you then resort to these cheap jibes, only to have it pointed out your very own favourite overtly ducked Calzaghe

    Tough one that :yep

And you're a biased hater :rofl

It's tough for you, I realise.

No it's not tough at all. It's just that discussing Calzaghe with you is like discussing Hatton with SleazeNation.

I've been called a Hatton hater but I will give him credit for the way he went about getting a fight with Mayweather. He won a genuine world title at LWW, unified, then won a world title at WW and had a couple more fights in the states. He could easily have defended his WBU title 20 times and mentioned Mayweather after every defence which is basically what Calzaghe did to get a fight with Jones.

Only I'm no more of a fanboy than you are a hater. I mean it's been proven time and time again, with the threads you've made, there is no need to try to act objective and cast me as the delusional one

I don't think you hate Hatton generally, I mean I've seen you criticise certain things since you are e-miserable, but not to the extent.

Yup. I never say Calzaghe ducked Jones because he never chased him. Now he calls himself the legend killer & is going to beat up a past it Jones. Makes me want to hurl.
