I'm not deluded, I just said it's impossible to know.

Was Vince Phillips a better fighter than Tszyu?

No, he gassed that night. Tszyu was a far more aesthetically pleasing fighter with a wider skill set than Hatton. Most will agree with me.

It wasn't a prime Zoo. We don't need to try to convince ourselves that Hatton is as good as a prime Zoo, he clearly isn't. Nevertheless it was still a good win. Same with Calzaghe and Hopkins.

Prime Tszyu was fantastic. An all-time great at 140, and one of my favourite fighters ever. At his best he had fantastic timing. That is what let him down against Hatton, he wasn't getting the same leverage and timing on those right hands, which stands to reason considering Hatton has been hurt by lesser punchers since yet seemingly walked through him. It happens with age. It's completely absurd yo suggest at 35 he was peak

He was still very good, and an extremely credible win, but the fact he hasn't fought since is telling

So if Hatton and Phillips are lesser fighters, but one beat Tszyu when he was 28, the other when he was 36. They must have made up for their lack of skills with what they did have over Tszyu.

Why did prime Tszyu retire after 1 defeat to Hatton? :huh

I had Hopkins winning but I think Calzaghe did well to make it close enough that two of the judges went for him.

Look don't beat around the bush. If you want to say you think Hatton is a better fighter then say it. People have bad nights, people get old. Not many people retire undefeated. McCall & Rahman are not better fighters than Lewis.

I don't want to say something that will never be proven either way, it's pointless.

The only thing we know for sure, is Hatton was better than Tszyu when they fought.

One thing you have to remember is that beating someone doesn't make you better than him. You can fight a great fight and your opponent can fight a bad fight. Douglas isn't better than Tyson. Rahman isn't better than Lewis.
