It really must burn inside of Calzaghe that he retired undefeated yet he was never 'over' as a mainstream star in the UK or US and the fact his undefeated career really wasnt that great. Fcuk Calzaghe!!!

    :good

Joe should realise that his "0" doesn't automatically make him the greatest, but of course, he does not!

Calzaghe always allowed his ego to hinder his shot at boxing immortality. He could have achieved more, but chose not to take the risks associated, and now he is pissed because he is recognised as only (?) "The second greatest British fighter of all-time" (He should be proud as ****)?

When Joe retired, you could see that the only headlines he was going to create were going to be of a negative nature!!!

Man that Coke must be ****ing with Joe's brain if he thinks him and Lennox are anywhere close in historical ranking. Lennox's entire career consisted of him beating the best, Calzaghe's career consisted of Kessler, Lacy, and old men.

Poor Joe, he's slowly realizing his career wasn't as amazing as he'd initially thought. Must be frustrating to see fellow countrymen Lewis, Hamed, Hatton and even Khan (who's only 23!) seem to get more exposure than he could ever dream of.

Ah well, if you stay in Europe content with feeding on no bodies, that's what you'll get. F*** Joe.

Check this quote out from the same article, suprised nobody picked up on it.

He said: "The main thing is your health. Look at Ricky Hatton for instance. You know he was knocked out really badly the last fight, knocked out two fights ago, and the reality is he's done himself a lot of damage.

"Regardless of when he fights again, and he says he's going to fight, he's been knocked out by a nobody hasn't he, because his punch resistance has gone as far as I'm concerned."

Come on then Calzaghe, who are these nobodies that knocked out Hatton? No doubt he was referring to either Mayweather or Manny. What a classless **** this Calzaghe geezer is.

I think its a case of losing direction, now that his Pro career is over. Hopefully he finds something to channel his energies into, like being a trainer or something.

Not only Lewis should be ranked above him, there should be a lake size gap between the two.

This what happens when fighters get obsessed with the "0".

hes f**ked off that Dirrell and Pascal are being shown to be two top young fighters and Lacy , Kessler and Jones Jnr are looking like corpses.

His resume is slipping below Frochs every day ;)

Lennox Lewis is a superior fighter and a good human being.

Calzaghe dodged the best for years and is a complete and utter *****!

he was talking to a reporter posing as a sponser, of course he is going to lay it on thick as he wanted to impress. at the end of the day what the NOTW did was shameful - no one gives a **** is Joe does coke now that he is retired, everyone has their vices but in England they love exposing people.

    This is not news-worthy.

    Better late than never.
Agreed. Before, although critical of his resume or lack of, I had been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt in regards to protecting his "0" at all costs. Not so anymore.
